With a quiver of Sabfoil hydrofoils (999, 899, 799, 945, 940) I find myself, at 80 kg, on the Sabfoil 945/425 95% of the time. Just curious with your quiver what is your one hydrofoil go to for most of your riding at your weight?

For winging I pretty much exclusively use the axis 980 HPS with 375p (shimmed -1, leading edge up), with short fuse. Always have fun on it. Could go bigger sometimes could go smaller sometimes. 90kg,

As we've had almost nothing but really light wind most of the time the Go Foil M200 has been my go to

Wife and I both ride Armstrong. Had several foils but basically we ride one foil then move on to the next and never go back. Now she is on HA 925 and I'm on the 1125. The other foils just sit around until I remember to sell them.

945/425 is my current go to, excellent all round for me, like you 95% of the time, but I find it can get a bit out hand in overpowered conditions.

65kg .. 100% on a 1000'ish AR6 front for any conditions, size wing to wind

I am also on the 980 95% of the time and I know a few other guys who basically just use it all the time. I use 980 hps, 400 progressive rear and ultrashort fuse. About 95% of my winging is on this set-up and 85% of my sup foiling too. I am 100kg.

I really think they hit the sweet spot with this wing.

I am 72kg: Gong Fluid XXLT (105 cm span, 1950 cm area) for light wind, Gong Fluid XLS (86 cm span, 1400 cm area) for normal or strong wind.
Winging for cca 10 months.

Love those foils, started with Gong Curve XL (92 cm span, 1900 cm area) but Fluid XLS is much more lively, it turns even more easier and I love riding it. With XXLT I can start in marginal winds a bit earlier, not drastically earlier but I can feel the difference.

82kg. Armstrong 925/195 (with one red shim) is my go-to. I use it from 12-30+ kts.

GoFoil RS1150 with 14FTS or L depending on wind/wave conditions @105kg+

78 kg. Just switched to the Gong Fluid LT (1250sq cm, 85cm, 0.9 liter volume)/Fluid H stab (42cm, 0.06 liter volume) as the daily driver in winds over ~13 kts. This is a very low profile (thin!) front and rear wing combo. HPS 930 for comparison (1214 sq cm, 93cm, 1.23 liter volume)

It's taken a lot of $ to get to this point

I'm 77 kg. This year probably 85% of my riding is on the Kujira 1095. I've got a 1400 and know it pretty well (pretty good crossover w the 1095) but I only take it out below 13-14 knots. I also have the H800 but got it too late in the summer to have the right conditions for it - so I haven't really gotten it dialed in yet.

I also use the KD 13.5 tail almost all the time.
It takes a while for me to really dial in and understand equipment. I can make anything work to some degree, but Without tuning and knowing the limits and characteristics of the equipment you cant push it too hard. If I had consistent wind and could get onto the water year round I might be able to dial a full quiver in, but unfortunately I don't so I really only have a chance to deeply dial in tuning and understanding of a couple foils a year. I know I wasted a few sessions trying to make the h800 work when I would have been better off on the 1095.

in my opinion you are better off riding sub optimal equipment that you know really well, versus optimal equipment that you don't know.

Interesting. I've come to the same conclusion w my Naish 1240HA. It's my 90%er. When the winds come back I'll be using the 1040HA more.
I really like the 1200MA but it's strictly a surf in the pocket or overpowered jumping wing for me. Because La Ni?a has been. not so good to us this summer, I actually broke the 2140 out a few times to get some travel time but the 1240HA is my bread and butter. It surfs well, jumps, carves and pumps. I would like it if Naish would come out w some specific pump and glide type foils.

I've only had the opportunity to try 2 brands, SAB and Axis. So can't say these are better than other brands, but I have really enjoyed them as they have good glide, turn well, and are fast. Weight is 85kg. Live in the SF Bay area and typically ride in 18-25 mph wind in the bay and coast.

SAB: 940 is all around foil in 15-30 mph. The w1000 is also a very good single foil quiver. Both with the 399. 370 works well too. I've found the best results with the project cedrus mast. The bit of extra chord on the 940 gives it a slight edge as a one foil quiver.

Axis: 999 with 375 tail on the short fuselage, Axis 90cm alu mast.
