Hi,Has anyone have one or heard of any reviews of the new light wind wing from North.

Interested to hear how they compare with the F-one.

I like the hard handles,same as the unit.

Cabrinha have just released a light wind wing.

Finally wing makers have finally figured out we all don't live in Maui

Thinking of getting one to try and for school use. Looks like a couple of weeks away. If the winds pumping i'd go kite.

I have the 8 metre CWC and it is very light for such a monster and flies in next to nothing. If North can make a comparable wing with long rigid handles that's similar in weight and performance then North wins! I'll believe it when I see it.

I definitely want to hear from real world users on this one since 6-8kts seems unrealistic. Also wondering if it then gets completely overwhelmed in 15kts.

I think Grantmac,there would be a few variables,foil size,rider weight,skill level.

Id be happy to have a wing that would work in 8-10 knots

Guess we'll have to wait and see more reviews,

The cost will also be a factor,the conversion from euro to aud is about 2 grand plus.

EUR/AUD wasn't that comparable. I think I saw it for c. A$1,500 via USD/AUD translation.

I know talented riders who make their regular 5.5-6.5 wings work in ~10kts.
Things get really different when the wind speed never goes above 10kts.

Definitely agree that a huge HA foil would be required. Like a PNG 1300 or similar.

Next comes lightwind designed boards! My 60L at 65kgs is holding me back with my 7M OR glide in the lightest air. It just feels sticky. Once there's a bit more power the 60L armie FG feels great and releases amazing. Guess I'll need to get a DW Sup (barracuda) to double for lightwind. Just need to save some funds after that wing (ouch).
