The 2026 Mode Pro just dropped on the North website:
northactionsports.com/products/mode-pro-wing-2026

At first glance, these are the main enhancements for the 2026 model:
-Slightly flatter dihedral
-Reduced leading edge diameter
-Stiffer leading edge and reinforcement of the T section
-Improved ergonomic strut geometry as already introduced in the Nova Pro

I expect to receive it by the end of August and intend to share some side-by-side photos of the 25/26 models along with my initial riding impressions.

Cheers,
Frank

Thanks for sharing. however until North finally discloses the weight of their wings I will not get involved. most other brands do and, particularly for larger sizes, is one of the thing I look at the most

I really don't see the point of it.

I finally got to test the 2025 Mode PRO only two days ago, only to see the 2026 announcement on returning back from the beach having got all the footage for a review, I did have a laugh about that .... I'm going to review it anyway and hopefully I'll get to try the 2026 one a bit sooner.

Like others I have a shared frustration with the North wings ---- they don't publish weights because in my opinion they know that doing so would kill sales as it is one of the first things people check. The North PRO wings are some of the few wings that clock in over 3kg for a 5m. The most annoying thing about this is that for the most part they make wings that fly really well but then kill it by making it weigh a ton. I also can't see the point of the rope, track system thing for handle placement because if you have any sense you fit a boom to save weight.

Regarding the 2025 Mode PRO from a sailing perspective- I quite liked it, the cons were low end, weight and it wasn't the most compliant wing in a tack. Aside from those the rest was all pretty positive. But it is somewhat hard to love a heavy wing, especially when the wind drops.

On the 2025 nova pro discussion there was a lot of back and forth about if the weight matters. Whether or not the actual weight matters those wings feel too heavy in use. Need to make them lighter and ditch shiftlock before I'll be interested again. I'll be curious to see how this one feels because at least some of us were having real issues with how the 2025 nova pro performs.

If you find the Mode Pro heavy then wait until you try the new Ultra, it's way heavier.I think the advantages of the Mode Pro are the lower wing span, makes it easier to pump, the power is pretty good, good top end too and impressive wind range.
Disadvantages: the worst part ofis the Weave45, it's a crappy material. As mentioned, it's heavy and it is not stable in surf.

Ash, moving away from north wings soon probably. After being not happy with the nova '25. The diving to the water issue, the instability, the weight. After watching your review, i might look at the Reedin supernatural 2025.

The Reedin ist great. Switched to the Supernatural last year and just received my 2026 Version with Boom two weeks ago.
Perfect for me. Ash nails it right on the head with his review.
Only his issues in tacks I cannot confirm....but maybe it's only my poor level ??

500 grams heavier than a D/LAB Unit. 300 grams heavier than a STD Unit. The booms weigh about the same. I guess that's reasonable.
