Any one have this? First time out and just kept sliding of the deck. I know my boots have worn soles, but slid off from knees in a taxi position. Any tips for better grip, light sanding? Wax? thanks.

Were you wearing shorts with sunscreen on your legs or a full wetsuit. I made the mistake of putting sunscreen on my legs once and my board became a floating banana peel.

Haha, I wish shorts. In Edinburgh so it's full winter kit.

Right. Shorts would be a bad idea there.

You can wash + scrub the pad with a mild detergent (soap, hand-dishwashing liquid).

Sometimes at the factory, some lubricant or dust in the air get deposited on the pad.
