I risked it and got the 750Glide/H165. After two sessions with the wrong wings in gusty conditions think it does everything a bit better than 905/P180, though smoother riding in chest to head high swells was more noticeable. The 750 climbed out of the water same as the 905 but in marginal wind needs an extra pump to keep it there before building speed , so get up seems the same as long as you do extra pump once up. Still using 90 DLab mast.
Interested to hear of anyone else's experience on new Glides and what better wingers think.

sounds good - note we found it is better to mount the Glide 2.0 foils around 1-2cm further forward than the previous model, to get a good front foot pressure/lift and flat trim, not sure if you found the same/have tried that. Enjoy, yes going one size down as you mention is possible for sure, pretty much thru the range vs Glide 1.0.

Yes, 1cm further forward felt good.. 750/H165 seemed to to turn better than 905/P180, though I never push to the limits of either.

I've just changed from the Carve 2.0 to the new Glide 2.0. While it doesn't turn or pop the same as the Carve, it still is pretty manoeuvreable and isn't bad for jumping. Obviously it has much better glide. The Glide 2.0 gets up on foil noticeably easier than the equivalent sized original Glide and has lower stall speed. Given that you can size down the Glide 2.0 compared to the 1.0, the turning is much better.

Hi guys

I am looking for an advice from people on duotone gear about the next foil to buy. I currently have aero free 1250 and the original glide 1305. I am ~81kg and use the glide for light wind and really enjoy its glide, low end, and the ability to go through the lulls. The 1250 is much more maneuverable but requires more consistent wind. I would like something that has more glide than 1250 but much more nimble than glide 1305.

My level: I gybe reliably, switch feet, learning to tack with more success(currently less than ~50% in flat water). Looking to start riding wind swell and chop. I am on AL 82cm mast, do you think it is worthwhile upgrading the must before going for a new foil; i.e. is the mast limiting my progress in any way?

Probably the new Glide 2.0 1100 would be your best bet. The 900 glide is terrific, but won't get you up as early as your current two foils.

Thanks Dave, I think 900 glide would probably be a good addition with not too much overlap with my existing foils. Looks like its span is not too big which I presume will make it quite maneuverable.

Got the 750 Glide 2 and get-up is like never-was 850 Glide 1, so is the get-up of 900 Glide 2 maybe like never-was 1000 Glide 1?
Anyone else finding 750 less stable than 905 on 60 fuse?

Sorry, I misunderstood. Thought you were wanting something to replace your current foils. But yes, if keeping your current ones, the 900 sounds good.

If using on wing try + shim the tail

if I take the 1100 and 750, will I miss the golden size 900? ;-) ? thinking of buying 2

Not sure about your weight/skill level, but buddy of mine, 82kg? borrowed my 750/900 for his holiday in Greece, barely used the 900 on a very light wind day, says he will only ride the 750 this season, so they do have a lot of power, like most other high aspect foils coming out. Met another customer on the weekend, 100+kg, riding Skybrid/KT downwinder, with bigger Ventis Wings- he was riding the 750 and 900, does not want anything bigger, even for super light winds. But that is offset of course with the big wings.

Personally I/we use the 1100 for light wind testing of 6-12/15 knots on a Skybrid 85/75kg . But actually I could easily take the 900 with the bigger wings, except for when it is really light. So bit of a mixed bag according to weights, skills, wing size, board type..nothing new there really..

From reading your other posts, I am not 100% sure if you need the 1100, but depends on wing/board size?

What size Skybrid would suit me from 6 -25 knots. I weigh 100KG ridding 900 glide 2.0, 1100 carve and 1450 Whizz. With my 5m Duotone dlab and 8m Ventis can gybe and tack and switch feet in small waves and windswell off coastal waters. I am Thinking or replacing my 110L naish downwind and 85L Naish Crossover
