This is the rough depth of the lake, they change regularly, but there is "channel" markers which if you stay clear you will be ok.
The arrows show preferred wind directions for each launch. The NE launch on the mid left is Middle Creek Reserve. A bit of a slog out to get started, but easy to get up wind and ride laps where the MArker is at the end of my arrow. The SW arrows shows Billarong Reserve. This is a wood Westerly to SWerly sppot. It can be done there in a NE'er also as well as some ESE or Easterly winds, but best in a westerly. Riding back and forth to the lee of that shallow spit below my arrow is nice and glassy smooth.
Everywhere in that blue is pretty deep and a 95 is fine. But it gets shallow really fast, really fast!! So be cautious when getting close to the markers and edges.
There's generally a few crew on the lake if it is wingable, so see where the locals are riding, or contact Sam at WSS boards (local shop) for the tips of where's on for a given day. A lot of Wingers go to Fisherman's Beach (Brown Water), which is a boat harbour on the ocean side. Easy enough launch, but reef breaks out the back. Good in N - SE.
Ride safe,
JB
