What did you go for in the end, in a similar thought process myself right now.
Started on 1800 HA and now being led down trading in for the 1240 HA

Hi All,
long time listener first time caller!
Looking for advice around downsizing my naish foils for wingsurfing.
I am in my 40's , weigh 78kg, have 5.5m and 3.5 Armstrong wings, a hover 110l board with a Jet 2000 front foil. I ride flat water in anything from 10-25 knots wind, can gybe and ride switch confidently. Aim is more wave riding in < head height waves which can be good, but mainly are onshore chop.
Thinking Naish Jet 1650 or HA 1400 (with corresponding recommended rear foils)
My understanding is that the jet range is supposed to be better turning in the waves but the HA has higher top speed and possibly more pump which sounds good for the flat days.
Has anyone tried both of these foils?
Dose the smaller size of the 1400 mean it might actually turn as well as a 1650 jet?
I found the 2000 foil fantastic for learning but top speed now a limiting factor. Is the 1650 significantly faster?
Is the much difference in the speed at which these 2 foils (ie 1650 vs 1400) start lifting for initial take off?
Cheers,
Mangawhai
