Been using Naish HA 2000 foil set up to learn. Now I'm gybing, and trying playing in waves, I feel I'm ready to progress to next set of foils. Problem I have is I don't understand the Naish website descriptions however many times I read it. Don't know what aspect ratio or size is the next step for my level and sailing area. Can anyone point me to a page, or video or from your experience to give me an understanding of Naish foils. Want to research as much as I can before approaching dealer.

Hey Peguin,

Firstly are you riding the Jet 2000, or the HA 2140? This will help in advising the next theoretical step.

There is a few things that maybe need to be discussed in directing you for the bets effectiveness, but there is a few option moving forwards.

Interests and potential foil selection.
- racing/course, high average speeds with great bottom end = MACH-1 & 914HA
- Freestyle, low end foiling, hard turns, excellent bottom end = MA foil, Jet, Ultra Jet
- High glide, DW, pumpability, ultra light wind - HA, MAch-1

Sizing is dependant on many factors,
- wing size,
- wind strength
- conditions
- rider weight
- board size

Then there's always rear wings etc..

In general a great conversation with your local Naish dealer could be very informative or alternatively DM me with your deets and I will try get in touch and see if I can help direct you.

Ride safe,

JB

Hey Penguin.. How heavy are you?

I'm loving my MA2000 and it's a chalk and cheese difference to the Jet2000.
