I started Wing Foiling earlier this year with a Naish S26 Jet 2000 front wing and a Naish 125L board. I have progressed well, however, often breach with strong gusts, assuming the Jet 2000 is giving too much lift. Am now seriously considering expanding my kit and am unclear whether to move to Axis HPS 980 (meaning change of platform) or sticking with Naish and perhaps acquiring the HA 1800. Any input by anyone who's experienced both Axis and Naish foils would be greatly welcome.

I went from Slingshot to the Axis platform and couldn't be happier. I'm on the BCS 1060 wing and it's been giving great lift, and no problems with over-foiling when the wind picks up.

You don't need to switch brands . Try the Naish Jet HA 1240 & 1400 first if you are considering the Axis HPS 980 (1323 cm2) it fits right in between those Naish wings. You already have a big wing for low wind days (S26 Jet 2000) so skip the 1800 and drop lower to the 1240 or 1400 , you'll be surprised just how much low & high end performance you get out smaller wings.

RCD, I had the Naish foil gear initially (1220 and 1570). Got some axis gear and love it. 1060 and 900. Ended up adding a Jet 2000 to the Naish setup and really enjoy that too. The Naish 2000 has similar performance to the Axis 1060 (1800cm2). While I've not tried the Naish HA 1800, I reckon there'd be lots of overlap between the 2000 and 1800.
I think the newer gen foils for all brands are getting much better. Id stick with the Naish platform and as Piros suggests above, get a smaller Naish foil (and maybe another rear stabiliser to go with it?). It'll be a lot cheaper than getting a whole new Axis setup.

So far I've taken it out in light wind 12 knt-15knt days and it gets on foil with some pumping amazingly well. It also does great in 20knts although I don't have many of those days under my belt just yet. Trying it a little in waves and having fun but I'm still new to Winging (came over from wind foiling). I'm still surprised at how easy this 1800sq cm wing get's me going in light winds and how lively it is.

Naish HA1400 is a great wing, especially for Winging and even SUP foiling. You won't be disappointed - you may even even up with the HA1240 down the track. But nothing wrong with Axis either, just cheaper to add a wing then change complete set up.
You really can't go wrong with most of the latest generation major foil brands, they are all a few versions in and so much more refined.
