Hi seabreezers,

The valve on my centre strut has got a bit of a slow leak between the two threads where the bladder valve screws together. I put soapy water on it to check location of leak and it def seems to be the threads where it screws together. I put a bit of plumbers tape on the seal. It has improved it but looking to do a better fix. it is really touchy with how much pressure I screw the valve together. Was going to try avoiding any glue type fixes if possible. Does anyone have any advice on sorting?

Cheers chris

Looks similar to the valve on F-One wings which I removed to repair the bladder and was surprised how tight I had to screw it back in to prevent leaking. So check O ring is clean and maybe do up tighter. I guess you could buy a new valve to screw in.

When I screw it up tight, it gets to a point where there thread clicks and it loses tension, it has been like it since new, I should have talked to the dealer at the time but never got round to it. Will order a new valve this week

Maybe a crossed thread?

I reckon it might have been crossed on initial install and has damaged the thread, it looks okay but just has this slow leak. I swapped to a fatter O ring and put some more plumbers tape on it last night and it stayed up overnight, so I reckon it's good Enuff for now but I will order a new valve for it.
