I rode a pre-production 4m KT wing (Called the Flux) this past week in Maui. It had scrim windows but was otherwise exactly as shown above. The production ones will have no windows. I have to say I was blown away at how forgettable the wing felt while flying (my highest compliment for a wing). Stiff, stable, quiet, light, powerful, great low/high end. Awesome flag out and tacking balance. Of all the wings I've ridden, this one was the best allrounder. Loved the handles and the inflation valves had easy twist off caps that even cold hands will work with. I loved it! The orange color looks even better in person. Dan Charlesworth photo credit.

Any other user feedback on these wings perchance?

Tried the 6m, I like the shorter span, way shorter than a Mojo 6.2. It's just slightly wider than a 4.8m PPC but over a foot deeper. Much bigger than a Strike v2 5.5 which overlaid on the PPC 4.8 was almost the same size. KT is also noticeably lighter than an Armie 5.5, ppc 5.8 and Mojo 6.2. Very stable & rigid frame. Pumped the **** out of it but it won't flex. By comparison, Strike CWC 6m felt more pumpable but it folds like butterfly wings on the pump. KT felt like a 5m but power of a 6m. I could be wrong but the profile doesn't look as deep as the Strike, maybe on a par with the ppc but there's very little flap in the KT. Maybe better in the higher wind range than in the lower? Very neutral feeling on the handle. Front handle useful for stink bug as it goes from strut to LE. The front handle doesn't have much of a curve so feels a bit weird. I prefer more of a loop but I can live with it. The fluro orange does my eyes in if I look at it too long. Suppose that's good if I want to be spotted. The construction quality on this one was A1. I like it but they are so expensive

What do you mean by the commen re the 6 CWC? Especially "folds like butterfly wings on the pump." Do you mean once out on the water and you pump the wing to get going that it flexes?

Yes, exactly that.

The power of the CWCs come from the leech being flicked. OTB Marine did a nice comparison video some on the ago demonstrating just that. It's not meant to be a super stiff wing.

Yes, exactly that.

Agree! I've only used one once for about 10 mins when the wind dropped. I stood up and pumped a few times in next to no wind. I was just about to start complaining about how much the struts and leach were moving and that it was spilling all the power but then looked down and I was already in foil! It's different but it's magic. Like a delayed elastic power to get up

I've ridden a good number of wings from many brands now and have settled on the KTs for my main wings (4, 5m). I'll keep my V2 2.5m Armstrong and will likely sell my 5.2 Takuma WK if the low end is close enough to the KT 5m wing. I like wings that have good frame stiffness, low end power delivery to drive HA foils out of the hole, flag out well, and offer good all round performance. The KTs deliver these traits very well.

How is the weght?

I don't know precise weights but the 4 and 5m feel light. More important, they fly in a very neutral way making them feel lighter than they are while generating solid power when you need it.

Not going to praise it too much because I am a bit biased - selling these things, but maybe the riding video itself shows how it handles in some of the free ride conditions. Try to arrange a demo and see it yourself : )

I am also biased as I work for a shop that sells them, but truth is that this is my new favorite wing. I've got a full quiver in the works for myself actually. I prefer it to the Unit v2, Nitro, and Slingwing v3. The top end on it is super good, really looking forward to using it in The Gorge this summer.

The orange is blindingly intense haha.

What's with the dish washing gloves? Are they for grip or warmth?

For the warmth. When the air is already warm but the water is still near frozen it's OK to just have the gloves, tucked under the wetsuit sleeves. If the air is cold as well it's more tricky, then I use some custom gloves underneath and the most important thing is to prevent any water getting inside the gloves. Then the hands stay toasty warm.

For foiling you could theoretically use some thicker neoprene gloves. But the dishwashing gloves work well for wave windsurfing as well, as there is none of the grip problems and the hands do not get tired.
