Currently on Armstrong HA1080 + Ozone Pocket Rocket
Thinking to switch over KT Atlas. Specifically the 1130.
In the forum I saw feedback from the 960 which seems to be very positive.

I have not seen much about the 1130 and advice on the Atlas 170vs205 stab to pair.

Anybody with feedback for the 1130? The span is at 111cm it's quite wide hence I am looking for feedback from riders particularly about its early take-off, turning ability and stability in rough waters and currents.

The atlas 960 has the low end of a 1200-1300 sq cm foil. Easily usable in very light conditions. The KT foils have a very wide speed range. Not sure you need the 1130 unless you're a very heavy rider.

The 960 atlas has similar bottom end to 1080 armie and top end much better.

I pair mine with 170 atlas tail

1130 if you want ridiculous bottom end (far better than the 1080) and 960 turns far better than the 1130 aswell. A much more playful foil

Does anyone have experience with the Atlas 1340? I've heard similar to above about the Atlas having low end of a significantly larger foils. But am curious about the 1340 for super light days and learning to DW. Would be amazing if someone has tried both the 1340 and the large Axis foils and could compare.

Fully agree with Spark and cct305. 4m BRM maliko 1 and Atlas 960 with DW board and I'm up in 15 knots, maybe less with swell assist at 93kilos. It's a spanny foil, same as Armie 1080, so I wouldn't want to go bigger as you'd lose rollover response. It's a great foil and easy to ride. Sharp AF though, so a trailing edge sand is a good idea. Same with masts and stabs.

Hi, I just had 2 sessions with de Atlas 1130 and I:m loving it. It turns on a dime and doesn't feel like a 111cm.wide foil. I have ridden the Axis png1300 v1, spitfire 1180 and art1099 v1 before and they where not so surfy as the 1130.

I have ridden it in a bay and on the North Sea over here in the Netherlands. Not much power in the waves so the 1130 helps you glide effortless. That I expected but the surfy feeling was mind blowing to me. Really surfing 0,5m-0,75m wind bumps what I normally do on swell.

I'm not a big guy (78kg) and bought this one for downwind bayruns and light wind days out on the sea. Really a great tool with the parawing or any device.

I tested a few weeks ago briefly the Armstrong HA1080. Less surfy in my opinion but comparibel.glide....disclaimer, only short test

many thanks! which stab? 170 or 205?

The 190 Nomad.....a bit strange but I wanted just 1 stab for my Nomad 830 and Atlas.1130..I don't like replacing it every time.
I asked Kane what stab is the best / less.bad compromise. He advised the 190 because it will make the Atlas better turnable and works good for the Nomad..

Atlas 1340 just arrived and had a short 30 min session. With a short fuse and Atlas 170 tail. Was supposed to be no wind today, but actually at times it was pretty nice. Very easy foil, not difficult at all, the getting going and stopping as well is so smooth. Must be a joy to paddle up, or to PW with it in super light winds.

Quite difficult to compare with other foils, perhaps the second video with the Sabfoil Leviathan Pro 1260 was in almost similar conditions (lighter overall, but a bit more consistent wind on that day in the 2nd video), but it's not a fair comparison at all - that Sabfoil setup was with a a nicer 12.5 mm thick race mast and the feel of the foil is very different (see yourself at 05:26 - 06:25 in the 2nd clip). 5.9 m2 wing and 120 L board in the 1st clip, 4.6 m2 wing and 92 L board in the second. Despite of not recommended, I think I will try the 1340 with the Atlas 145 tail next time.

im 80kg so difficult to reference.
for me the 1130 is a flat water paddle foil or extremely light wind SUP DW foil. I've had very successful runs on the 960 in 12-13 knots.

i think the 1130 would be the go for you to learn SUP DW provided you get a long enough high volume board. I learnt on a 8"10 V2 Barracuda and would highly recommended for someone at 80kg. I personally don't subscribe to using the biggest foil you can when it comes to learning SUP DW. Makes it incredibly hard work when you finally do get on foil. Better off with a big board

having said all that, if the budget allows 1340 to learn and keep for light wind wouldn't be a bad option. Then 960 once you have it down pat and the winds on. Good thing about KT is the front foils are priced pretty reasonably
