Agree w above. I have the 1800 and 1240. At 80 kgs I've been surprised how quick I come up on the 1240. Compared to the 2000, the 1800 has more top end and longer glides and pumps more efficiently. I keep it for light wind and waves below waist high. Once it's 15-17, I break the 1240 out. Coming off the 2000, I'd recommend going to the 1800. Get used to it, max it out, and then down the road jump to the 1240.
Just remember, regardless of brand, thicker foils sections w surfy, swept back shapes ride one way and flat Higher Aspect thinner foils ride another.
I've often wondered myself what a foil w a swept back shape, down turned tips and a thin HA foil section section would ride like, but I haven't seen one on the market yet.
Starboard X-type is almost like that. I have no experience with it however.
I do find that foils with drooped tips tend to feel more on rails in turns and almost have more "traction" so to speak.
