I have a Quatro 90L board that I use for winging, strapless. I'm not into boosting airs (atm) as I'm mostly interested in riding waves and learning to DW. Very happy with the board, but always thought that at some point I'd progress enough and I'd need a 50-60L board. But a few friends are all on their sinker boards and I think I'll be able to go from the 90L to a sinker board, as it's likely easier to balance (underwater) than a 50L in the chop.
My prone board is a 4'6" Amundson Customs 35L, but has no inserts for footstraps. I know I could learn to do sinker waterstarts strapless, but I guess it's much easier with straps.
So I was wondering if anyone has installed inserts in their prone board?
www.amazon.com/ZHU-CL-Accessories-Windsurfing-Footstrap-Placement/dp/B08J334PBZI've shaped a few surfboards back in the day so I know my way around composites and the procedure is fairly easy, but wondering if worth it? Not sure about those 3M stick-on insert pads?
