First try to build a pumpfoil board, I hope I made it strong enough. Three extra layers of cloth on deck and bottom to give extra strength from the boxes, vacuum bagged.

I am working on a dockstart board, made with bits and pieces i had around.Very simple design,hope i do not botch up the lam too much.

Thanks, I was thinking about doing something similar to your design with the wooden stringers but ended up with extra cloth instead we'll see if it holds up. I made the same type of wooden boxes without the spacing What's the dimensions? Looks great!!

It is very tiny, 95x42x4 cm.Only for dockstart,should be enough.It is my first "board" too, a full wingboard next :)

Ok, used only fiberglass and epoxy. On one side, 3 patches from the back of the box starting with the smallest closest to the foam about 15 cm past the box and 2 cm wider the next two layers I increased the length buy 15 cm and width by 2cm on each piece. to distribute the load 2 full layers of 5,6 oz cloth . Same layout top and bottom.

Nicely finished!

how did you do it? Epoxy (with micro balloons) filling, sanding and epoxy coat?
i do it like that but want to try something different as it takes a lot of time and sanding epoxy is so hard.
i've got polyester filler for the board i'm about to finish, should be quicker and easier but could melt the eps core.

I have to see what i have available, will do a mix of Carbon,innegra and glass leftovers,vacuum bag the monster.

The board is 940grams before layup so i think i can laminate quite a bit and stay near 2kg finished like yours.Will not bother much with final sanding and fillers,it is xps core and made for banging into docks after all.

Thank you! laminated with epoxy, no fillers finished with a few layers of two-component polyurethane paint which is very hard and tough but relatively easy to sand you can get a pretty nice finish if you use 1200-2000 and wet sand

Where did you get the anti slip pad?.It looks very nice and lightweight.

Ah yes 2k paint. I've tried one based on polyurethane before but applying the mixed substance was a nightmare. It was so sticky that it was impossible to spread out evenly and the fumes gave me a massive headache. Maybe I should try another brand.

I bought some EVA foam and made a cutting tool from an old golf club. Rugged the foam with sandpaper, did have some thicker EVA foam as well so I might add those thicker pieces if I need more grip. It's the same material they use to create armorand props for cosplay

Yes it can be very strong, l thinned out the paint a bit to have a little extra time and easier to roll out

I really like it. Is the foil through bolted? Andy on boatworks today you tube channel did a bunch of stuff with a two part called alexseal. Roll and no tipping. I used Awlgrip on a fiberglass boat restoration. So shiny. So expensive.

Yes it's through bolted
