At 76kg I didn't think I'd ever end up using my 6m Echo and Veloce XXL together, at least not at my home spot (Outer Banks, NC). They were collecting dust. It seemed the 5m Echo and Veloce XL were always the light wind call, but I finally got into some steady flat water lightish winds while traveling (7-13 kts, ..just a guess from local meters), and used them both together for the first time. I'm not talking bare minimum wind to ride in, but enough to have some fun with (I tack more than I jibe). Sure won't break any speed records, but I'm still amazed at how well that monster wing and foil handle for being so beeeeeg and clunky, and given my "not-as-coordinated" ole guy status. Put some extra work in on my 360's during this session. Not that I've ridden many foils, but I'm definitely a fan of the Veloce's. Based on the reviews here, I'm excited to get some new Slicks (6, 5, and 4m) in next week

(GoPro Max 360 cam mounted above the T-top on the boat works OK if you stay reasonably close)

Great use of the 360 camera.
I've just bought the insta360 and hope to get similar results (from a tripod mounted on an jutting cliff point just near where I ride)

Thanks for the idea.
cheers

The one mistake that someone pointed out to me was shooting in portrait mode when I should have set it at 4:3. Oh well, always learning something!

Yeah, that was me, sorry! I blame Instagram for people shooting in portrait mode as their default. The video was very good though, and the scenery was so nice it would have been better in landscape.

Here's a video of someone else having fun in really light winds -- some of the wind foil guys say that winging can't be done in light winds but they're wrong! You might have to do a little pumping through the lulls but that can be fun too.

Very nice, but I think I'd go stir crazy if all I had was enough wind to ride in one direction for 400m, jibe and repeat. My personal low wind limit has to be enough to tack both ways and even some fun challenging stuff like 360's or behind-the-back-tacks, etc. Although I guess that any workable session is far better than sitting on the beach!

DSpace i envy you a lot to pick and choose. That condition in this video is about 90% of my July/august conditions. So when they are suggesting your weight or your weight +10L....as a big board...i'm not convinced it would be confortable. ;-)

Well, it's never as perfect as it might sound. Even my home spot has constant shore break and weak sandbars to deal with Oceanside, and shallow/grassy/gusty conditions soundside. Guess we all adapt! (My younger daughter just permanently relocated to Melbourne so my next trip down under will definitely include my wing gear for seaking out those perfect riding spots)
