I'm 65kg and started with a 6'6 x 30" 116L and it didn't ever feel too big when I was learning to get up on the foil. Not sure how long the Quattro is but too short in the beginning makes it much harder IMO - because you have to deal with fore and aft pitching as well as side to side instability.
Remember reading that Jacko in Qld has a big stable board that he loans to beginners before they buy their final board, great idea!
