Hi
im after some advice please. Swapped to a med aspect from a low aspect foil. now when I try to get on foil it breaches a lot of the time. I've tuned mast position so that once on foil feet are about right, feel comfortable riding it in this mast position.

so my question is, do you have to adapt to each foil pumping technique? I think I'm being to aggressive with my back foot pumping how I would pump my low aspect foil. AK 2000 is my first foil, Takoon 1450 new one. thanks in advance.

New anything takes some time to get used to, even new shoes.

Another variable to consider is the tail that you are using. The medium aspect foil has a higher take off and cruise speed, so a smaller tail (i.e. less downforce produced) will be required. A shim under the tail can also be used to reduce the downforce. The reduced tail downforce will reduce the angle of attack of the foil, reduce the lift, and reduce the tendency to breach.

I have 2 new high aspect foils. Other than being HA totally different in every other aspect (pun intended )
The Axis 1010 pumps up like my low and mid aspect foils very easily no assessment needed.
The other one, SlingShot 926, does not respond to pumping at all (at least I could not find a way)
But it respond very well to wing pump. Any wing with grunt and I'm up on a foil with 3 quick pumps,
When I tried supplementing with foil pumps it would stall and fall. Tried softer wings didn't work at all.
