I'm downsizing my wing board and I am in the market for new footstraps as my current board (Axis Froth) has a Y setup while the new board (Omen Flux) does not have a Y setup.

currently riding the North v straps but will need three separate straps on the new board.

Part of the year I do wear booties so they need to be somewhat adjustable.

what are people using and what do you like/dislike?

What size feet have you got as I'm struggling find v straps that go big enough for boots? most normal straps are good these days I like Ion ones but prefer v straps if they go big enough

Most comfortable footstraps I think are made by Slingshot, and they adjust big enough for booties....I don't wear boots
much these days but when I winged in colder climes it was no problem with size 11.

Starboard Windsurfer ultralight straps, the MKIV were the best for windsurfing as they are a bit stiffer with an extra Kevlar insert but for winging the MKIII would be fine, and possibly better as they will flatten out if you stand on them. You'll want to use some sort of shark teeth washers to stop twisting though as you won't have the anti-twist notch in the board to use the provided plastic washers.

Paul Coopers one by one straps are the best around. They make a three strap Y setup (called the "why?"). The straps don't adjust but you can just unscrew them and put them into a different insert to make them wider when bootie season arrives (as I do).
I've tried many different straps including several of those referenced in this thread and I like the one by ones the best. They are wider, and they are softer. The softer strap allows you to stand on top of it, and it also allows your foot to rotate to lock the strap in tighter around your foot.

I agree. Dakine has a few models of straps and one of them is identical to the MFC.

Dakine contours have been my favorite windsurf straps for years and seem to work just as well for the wing board. Tapered entrance so slipping in and out is easy but still secure. Can't get the black ones anymore though.

I've tried some wing foil straps and not a fan of how floppy they are.

Me too, best I've used. Only downside is over 3mm booties foot won't fit in and I have to switch to adjustable straps in the winter.

I use the FREE-V FOIL straps and they work well as are light and low profile - but you need to set them up on the loosest/widest settings. northkb.com/products/free-v-foil-strap-set
