Does anyone with large hands find those too thin and putting to much load on their fingers?
Anyone tried to make them more thick?

The easy way is to use whatever you want underneath duct tape ! Foam , neoprene , exercice mat etc . Has not come unstuck in twinmotion years of use , is not slippery and feels nice bare handed .

I got used to them. They are more comfortable than anything else out there.

And on the V2 the handles are a bit wider, stiffer and the outer material is better stitched to the inside material.

Agreed. I used to modify my 6M CWC handles but the handles on my Strike V2 5.5M are a good step up, as described, that I don't really feel the need.

It replaced my 6M altogether. It's lighter, stiffer and the upgraded handles are better positioned for my size.
I still have the 6M as a backup but I only took it out once to see if I can squeeze more out of it on a very low end session and the 5.5 was a little better.

This may not be the best comparison though, my 6M is heavily used and future version of the 6Cwc may get the same treatment with new materials and better ergonomics but if I had to make the choice right now, I'd still choose the 5.5.

Basically, I took a piece of plastic pipe and cut a slot down laterally. I pried it open and inserted the front handle. Next I wrapped it in "tommy tape" (amazon, not pictured in the post). This handle really helps control the wing in jibes and tacks as you can twist the wing to the new direction so that when you go to grab the back handle, the wing is already pointed in the right direction and ready to sheet in for power. My other wing is a Unit v2 4m and it goes without saying how good those handles are.

This is the modification I did to my 6M CWC. It did help with handling the wing in light conditions.
Same pipe as gneve only cut in a half then affixed to the handle with Hockey tape:
3/4" polyethylene pipe, OD 25mm, ID 20mm, Thickness 2mm

I used a longer pipe and bent it to the shape under heat. once cooled off is rigid again.

i have a starboard v1 6m wing. i want to replace it . i will take the 5.5.
the bigger wing is 8m cwc.
