I'm progressing in Wingfoiling and am currently looking for some unbiased advice on how to evolve my Foil quiver. Here's my Situation: I'm 73Kg, currently riding a 60L board in all conditions with the following foils: F-One Seven Seas 1400 F-One Sk8 850 I can do tacks and jibes in all directions as well as some jibe-variations. I'm mainly riding on flat water with decent wind swell (or completely flat, depends on wind direction).
I love the Seven Seas 1400 in medium to light winds (8-20knts) for the good glide and decent turning. When the wind gets stronger I usually ride the sk8, which I'm still progressing on. I'm now looking for something in between these two foils. I'm mainly looking at the SS1000, the Eagle 990 or the sk8 1050. I'm tempted to take one of the more high-AR foils (eagle/sk8) by the promise of more glide and speed but am also kind of worried that these will be almost a downgrade from the SS1400 in terms of turning.
Hi Zebras, I started on the 7 Seas 1200 and it was my go to for a year. That was until I tried SS1400 and my F One quiver is SS1400, and Sk8 950. I have recently got the Jam 1600 too.
There are new Seven Seas this y ear 1100, 1300 and 1500. I have tried the 1500 and it is a more refined 1400. Thinner, higher aspect so better glide pump and early lift. Bit it feels very familiar. The 1400 is a great foil in my opinion, I use it in 10 knots with 5m and perfect 8 to 15 knots.
The 1100 seven Seas would be great or Sk8 150. I have had the Eagle 990 and prefer the sk8. Nearly as fast but better turning. There is also the Eagle X at 13 ar too. Faster and better glide I guess.
