Considering the progress of wing design over the past 5 years, what design changes have yielded the most significant actual performance gains? I'm a low-intermediate rider on a set of 2020 Slingshot Slinging v2 wings. The wings are old in design, but each only has about a dozen days on it. Would selling these wings and updating to something more current provide really noticeable benefits to someone like me, or are the design improvements from the past few years just subtle tweaks appreciated mostly by experts?

Yes, new wings are better. Especially over slingshot. However, before you start looking for new wings ask yourself:

1. What would you like to be better on your current wings?

2. What style of rider are you and what kind of wing attributes help your style?

Haphazardly upgrading your gear will not benefit you, so identify the exact characteristics you want and then start asking questions about those characteristics to have the best success with your upgrade. Buying something that you think will be better, but it's the wrong kind of better, really sucks!

Would selling these wings

Think the ship has sailed on that idea... use em up and get new ones when you're a frothing winger.
