After 3 seasons in Duotone DLabs I have finally found a replacement!! Not sure if I'm on my own here, but Duotone trading practice of no leash, no valve adapter and now last straw no handles just totally alienates me, the long ongoing saga of crappy flagging handle constantly defended by team riders also annoyed as their honest feedback may have made a difference, I loved the V1 and V2 DLabs but didn't enjoy the V3. I have demoed many wings looking for that fast well balanced, light feeling wing with a great wind range and stable especially when overpowered. I found three that were in contention, Armstrong XPS, Core Halo Pro and Vayu Aura v3, the Armstrong whilst I found a bit heavy was a serious contender performance wise and at its price point is a bargain, the Core Halo pro is everything the original
DLab offered but with more stability with the bonus of being a boomed wing but price is up there with the DLabs, the winner is the Vayu, a little pricier than the Armstrong but 1k less than a DLab, awesome stability, massive wind range, light, super stable flagging, great angles upwind and the option of a boom. Vayu also include a leash, handles, and surprise surprise a valve adapter!!! In Perth, Standup Surf shop have Vayu on demo, I have absolutely no affiliation but highly recommend you giving them a fly if you are looking for a performance wing!! Just my 2 pennies worth!??

I love my Aura x2 4,5 + aura III 3,5 + aura II 3.
confortable, light, really easy and controllable. Neutral in the tacks, neutral in moves and free fly. boom slim .really good products.

Definitely worth a try if you're in the market for a new wing, they got to be up there with the lightest wings on the market. I ride mainly wind swell where wing weight makes a bigger difference, being able to swing a wing through the dead down wind part of a turn is a game changer. Control, construction and wind range are top notch too. Love the new quick release click boom, one boom for 3.5m-5.5m. I'm totally biased though

Wow awesome video, what great conditions, I am seriously looking into replacing my Strike V2 5.5m with a Vayu Aura III 5.5m, the reviews I have read all say the same, light flags well, plus the amount of options with it make a no brainer.

I tried it also but I like Slingshot NXT better. Awesome wing, light, stable, speed and crazy upwind.

Any word on the Aura X V2?

Only Vayu wing I've tried was during a lesson I took last year (not sure what model)...I couldn't believe how light it felt and how user friendly it was...but haven't even seen any in person let alone tried them since...

I Ordered an Aura V2 to replace my Unit3m 2025.In the strong wind the Unit is bouncing up and down and not as stable in flagging as I wanted. I have an Unit4m and 5m Sls, and the jury is still out if I replace them as well.

Exactly the same here: Had Units 3,0 2023, 4,0 2024 and 5,0 2023 for a year now: The 3,0 behaves terrible in strong winds and flags badly in waves. Will change for a 3,0 Aura 2 within in the next days. Seems to me that the Unit 4,0 2024 flags a little bit better then the 2023 models?

I mean, the units have grunt and start early, but with 70kg this does not help me at all in strong winds over 20 knots!

Update: Sold the 2025 unit 3+4m+5m unit SLS . The Unit4m was better as the 3, but still not my cup of tea. The Unit seems to be a great jumper/freestyler but I ride strapless and I love to ride waves where the flagging is simply not as good as I hoped for. Not saying the unit is a bad wing because it isnt, but its focus is on things that I don,t look for.This week an 4+5 Aura3 arrives, and in march an 3m I prevered on the Units the handles over the boom so start with the standard hard handles (that you don,t have to buy apart but are included). depending on how that goes I maybe later order that clickboom.

hey mate, maybe off topic but how do you find the appletree board ? iam thinking about the same size 60L. Iam 80kg dry and wondering is its big enough to get me going in 15-17 knots

If my Ocean Rodeo AA wings ever die I'm headed to Vayu as well. Definitely like the direction they are heading. Soft and rigid handles included. Cool boom design. Good materials. I'm into it.

Awesome all round wing board. I'm 70kg and love the 60L, a couple of guys here are close to 80kg and have no issue with their 60L in 15 knots. I like a bit of freestyle so went for a bit more volume. I've used the 70L and it didn't feel big.
