Hah! Great intuition. Last fall I put up this wingfoil review of the Aviator 18:
www.wouzel.com/post/sunova-aviator-18-gorge-wing-reviewWhich was a fun board for me to learn a bit more about the pros/cons of specific dims and what I was gaining/losing with winging. I'd been considering selling it but pulled it out again to learn how to parawing. All I can say is WOW. Right on the money. BARG Factor going from 3.18 on the custom Carver to 4.53 on the Aviator 18 was an absolute dream for my learning to parawing experience. I'm actually re-writing that review in a parawing only version and the words are finished, just getting pics and clips to add into it.
If I were to order a new parawing only board today I would steal the deck from the Sunova Pilot, stretch the Carver to 6'5" maybe? I'd consider 19" in width but 20" would keep it thin. Maybe throw just a couple extra liters in there but TBH I think 77l in a 6'5" might be enough for my updated skill level and the conditions I parawing in (always pumping). I'm yet to pull out my Silk 650 with the parawing but once I do, that will likely give me the final notes on if I need a little more float or not.
