Anybody have any intel on these? Sounds like new foils and mast coming. Will the interface be compatible with the existing setup (3x m6)? Is it just an updated h series or something new entirely?

Some really good deals on the 2022 H series right now.

From what I understand the current H range is just getting another bolt through the mast interface for more stiffness Armstrong A+ style.
New range is going to be more high aspect downwind so a 1050 with a big span like the bigger ART or armie HA. Not a replacement for H series but a different gear

Any mention of a stronger overall mast for heavy guys 100kg? Apparently the 2022 was a noodle.

I hope they bring out a new carbon mast the new Alloy looks good wonder if it is lighter than the old one. I am 98kgs and have been riding a friends H 1000 in 15knts above in large swell with the old alloy 90cm mast it's super stiff just heavy, such an amazing foil never thought I could ride a 1000.

Just came back from Merimbula and lent my Cab 800 & 1000 to Jeremy Wilmotte ( Axis Team rider) 6-4 x 95kg for 2 days and watched the guy destroy the waves on it . Was on a No Limitz 78cm mast & Kyjira 158 tail. Feedback pretty amazing from the pro crew who rode it and this is the response back from Keahi re what's different with the new 2023 range :-

The biggest difference with the new wings 550 , 700 , 850 , 1050 &1300 is that they are thinner and higher aspect in the bigger sizes. All of the wings seems to have better low end as well as better top end too. You lose a tiny bit of the surfyness in a steeper pocket but still very stable and the pumping and glide is much better

What's the front foot pressure like on Cabrinha H-series wings, are they front, neutral or back footed? Or do you just shim with the custom stab and kajura 158 tail?

Does anyone know if the generation 1 H-series wings are compatible with the upcoming new 2023 mast?

@piros how do you know with nolimitz masts that you are getting the new improved mast? Heard and read rumours that they had lots of issues this year with breaking etc.

I find the gen1 H800 (havent tried the others) to be neutral to front footed, but maybe thats just the way I have it tuned with the 178 tail and foilparts adapter and heavy shimming.

I have confirmation that the gen1 wings are compatible with the new mast and vice versa.

I got a bunch of the info, but I don't want to spill the beans. What @Piros says is all consistent with what I found. The width scales with area in the gen2 (AR ~constant), versus gen1 where width was mostly held constant (AR lower in larger sizes).

I didn't hear anything about the A+ side pin that @toomuchepoxy referenced, but there were some vagarities that could reference something like this. Either way, there is cross compatibility between gen 1 and 2 foils and masts.

do you know if are they also bringing a carbon stab without a fixed tail so no need for custom fuselage?

could be worth the wait if so rather than building a bits system.

I dont know. I've heard reference to it in the past, but the info that I have made no reference to it (or any other tail options). The foilparts adapter is a very good option that serves this purpose though (and offers for conventional underside tail mounting).

@piros since you have a communication channel with the foil designer of Cabrinha, can you just ask them to make a stiff mast for heavier guys > 90kg. Then we don't need all this aftermarket kit. Can't be that hard right, armie and gofoil do it. Thanks

Hopefully the new mast will cater for over 90kg riders, from riding both the 1000 H series with Alloy mast and Armstrong, the Cabrinha is so much stiffer. I am thinking of changing to Cabrinha if the new Armstrong mast doesn't offer a major change, the other issue I have with Armstrong is the separate fuse/front foil movement which is not apparent with Cabrinha. Not saying Armstrong has not been an amazing foil there just seems to be better foils suited to over 90-100kg riders

just the "touch stiffer" bit right? But sure sounds promising.

Perhaps an alternative option would be a Kraken 83cm mast and get stringy to do a foot adapter if possible.

Yes the new mast is way stiffer than the old one , it's gained a touch more weight but plenty more strength (I'm 90kg BTW ). All Cab components including the old X series are all compatible, so for all you Sup guys out there have a look at the X series foils as well. I actually found the NL a bit too stiff at first took me about 10 sessions to settle into it , the lower torsional twist of the Cab mast really suits the foil. I've had no issues with the NL other than some reaction when I left it together for a week , big mistake. I have chopped and flipped my rear fuse to take the Takumas but they actulaly work just as well on top , some guys print 3d Shims but just as easy to pack with washers , easy peasey . Cab also has a new tail as well but its fixed , from all reports it's the bomb . Shim wise I do nothing on the Cab it's just plug and play even with the Takuma tails. Front foot pressure wise it's a really smooth lift both 1000 & 800 , I ride it pretty far forward in the boxes , just short of an Army set up .

How would you compare H800 to the HA120? Their measurements are very close.

How is the compatibility between 2022 and 2023? I guess the 2023 wings do fit the 2022 cab fusion carbon mast? But then without the barrel nut (the side screw)?

Anyone with insight on this? Also would one need to drill side holes on the 2022 integrated fuse to ensure barrel nut can be used on the 2023? Sounds a bit.. messy.

Foils are really nice, at 9.5:1 they are definitely gliding focused but have a really good bottom end and low stall compared to other HAs out there I've tried. You can used them on the current mast but they are a lot more suited to the stiffness of the new mast. If you've ridden HA foils you know they are very good at milking every bit of energy out of the water, the stiffer mast definitely helps transfer that energy in the right direction.

You can use the old foils on the new mast without drilling the side holes with just 2 screws but the side bolt definitely helps clamp the fuse to the mast tighter. Really nice idea.

I've tried the new North 850 HA, very nice setup with their carbon mast. Very similar feel but I'd give the Cabrinha H850 the edge in bottom end and stall.

Also finding the new Cabrinha foils work best with the V180 stabilizer and short fuse. Cabrinha have hollowed out the aluminum fuse for '23 to lighten it up.

Hi Relapse, Can you compare the stifness to other masts and what do you weight?I tried the old 84 and for my 95/97kg that was by far not stiff enough although I loved the drag-less feel of it (and serious considder the new 84 to replace my very stiff Cedrus).

Only tried the 94cm, it's not Axis HM or new Armstrong stiff but was plenty stiff enough for me at 70kg. Big improvement both in torsion and flex over the current 80cm mast. I expect the 84cm to be stiffer than the 94cm. Nice thing is it's really light and narrow. 14.5 mm where it counts. Felt a tiny bit draggier over the 13.5mm original but the stiffness really brings out the best in the HA foils

Can only compare it to the H180 which I've cut down. Don't know if it's the anhedral or short fuse but you can push it a lot harder in the turns without ventilating the stab and it's easier to recover when it does. It's better on the 1000 too. I run the 650 most of the time and 1000 for the light stuff. Windfoil only. I'm running about 1/2 degree shim to reduce lift, at 70kg it gives me better glide and bottom end

Still no idea when we'll start seeing the new stuff in the shops, hopefully the Chinese New Year and COVID hangover finishes up soon and those factories can start pumping them out. At least the new Mantis's are here already, very nice wings.

I have a 4+5 Mantis V3 and love them.
Last year I had the windowless version. The V3 has windows, feels a tad softer/damped but behaves even better as the V2 and the new handles are great. In the Surf: 100% neutral.
Last weekend the air was +4C and the water cold so you need to wear a full suit and proper neoprene gloves. With the old one I got some arm pump after 30min while with the V3 I can surf 2h straight without a problem with 3mm gloves.

She seemed to have plenty of speed and glide on those monster swells!
