I am trying to figure out what makes a board good at pumping. I am getting a board made but I like to pump around and want to use it for prone also.

The smaller the better obviously, but what plays the biggest part?

Here is what I have tried:
62L 4'9 x 23 6.1KG
58L 4'8 x 23 4.7KG
45L 5'0 x 21 5.0KG
38L 4'5 x 19.5 3.7KG

As the boards got smaller they became easier to pump. The 45L board is interesting to me as it is both longer and heavier than the 58L but pumped much easier. This makes me think that thickness may be important....

I think construction plays a big part , when I changed my wing board to the full carbon construction it felt so much stiffer and reckon it pumped better.

Good point, forgot about that. Do you know much about construction? This is what has been proposed to me for the deck:
28kg/eps foam
6oz glass
3mm PVC 60kg
150gms Bi/Axial carbon
3 oz glass
Epoxy resin
