I will weight it later today if I get a chance. When flying even in super light wind, it feels light. Easily as light as the 6m, maybe lighter. I think the new outline (sigma/"M") works really well at dispersing weight and area over the given length.
The 7.2m Has been out for a little while now. Numbers were limited in the first shipments, however stores that ordered them should have them in stock (unless sold already).
The 7.2m we wanted to get right first go. We did not want to have a large wingspan, as this would inhibit the usability of the wing. It is hard enough use a big wing in good wind let a lone light winds with big spans and wingtips. Naish spent a little extra time ensuring the design worked perfectly. I am pretty amazed at how good it feels.
Above the amazing bottom end, I was surprised at the fell of the handling. Hard to explain, but I felt really comfortable with my hands in close together (more so than on the 6m). As I got more wind, the wing just kept feeling better. I am sure it will hit a top end relatively low, but only had it out in about 10kn max, in which it felt awesome. I was doing 31+kmh in under 10kn, which was impressive.
Jibing and tacking was super easy. As you all know bigger wings gets lots harder to jibe and tack, however at just 3m wing span, then 7.2m was no harder than the 6m.
Unfortunately the weather has been shocking, and I have not had another session. But as soon as i get something decent I will get some more video supporting top end, jumping.
All up very impressed. Once I work out the top end, I will decide my quiver. At them moment it is 7.2m, 6.0m, 3.6m (might drop the 6m if I can)
