I use a Dutone DLab 90 mast with HA Glide foils in chop that can be thigh high where the board often just kisses the top of chop, I occasionally I get smacked off but not enough to be a real issue. The mast stiffness is OK though torsion isn't great and I sometimes feel that such as when riding high. Some AFS locals are on 82 mast (very stiff and low torsion) and don't smack chop often, saying they can ride high and the AFS-Silk foils might help that.
So, I am thinking the 94 will feel t0o detached, the 84 might be too short but maybe I can ride higher than I am used to? Any views/experiences on getting new 84 or 94, it's too costly to change brands.
90 is way enough... adjust your mast position if you get smacket off.
I'm 92 Kg and when I ride my Dutone 90cm mast + a wide Glide foil (1350) in choppy conditions, the feeling is slightly wobbly. So, no worries, keep your mast and adjust foil size
