Bagged out wing - how to taper

Anyone had luck tapering bagged out wings?
How do you cut the canopy and stitch it back together?
I wonder if Tear Aid Type A roll would work to "stitch" it back together. Should be lighter than traditional stitching and as strong if not stronger.

Unpick a seam, typically the centre one in the middle of each side, make a new seam overlapping old. Hope you don't screw the leach up, otherwise you'll be refairing this too.
take it to a sail maker, it'll take 20 minutes and maybe $50 at most. Cheaper than a new wing anyway!
