I'd suggest, yes, switching to the black fuse, because it's the way forward. (you'll do it eventually so why wait?)
Then, if you want an easy transition the PnG 910b will be just like your 1010, but better at your weight.
It'll be less lifty in stronger winds but still great low end at your 68kg's. Characteristics regarding pumping to come up on foil, turning, stall speed, etc will be similar, but it will be a bit faster with better glide.
If you want to 'take the next step' then go straight to the 880 or 930 hps. (I'd suggest the 930) Both these will be significantly faster, with better glide. You just have to adjust to the slight difference in getting up on foil, which you'll do easily. ie focus on getting a bit more board speed through the water, before trying to bring it up on to the foil.
Good luck.
Thank you for the detailed and thoughtful answer. Reading all the diferent comments and views I think I'll give the ART a miss at this stage of my progression. The HPS 930 is a strong contender, thinking of sticking with the short fuse for extra stability easy of use while I perfect my foot swap (I tend to keep riding toe side at the moment). re stab someone mention a 375p would that be a good option? I currently have the 460.
Also if I were to get a 2 wing quiver to cover say 12 to 25+kn what would you suggest for my weight and conditions? Thanks.
