Has anyone tried one of these for wing foiling? I can't seem to find any reviews in the winging application. I am currently on a BSC1060 (weighing ~180lbs) and I am looking for a low wind option, with the v2 1400 or v2 1300 as a session saver. Looking at the aspect and shape I expect these to be faster top end than the v1 versions, but not sure on other characteristics.

Any feedback is welcome.

For winging its cruisy, super lifty (so I move the mast back a bit) turns OK but not great as you would expect from a spanny foil.Will definately get you going in the lightest wind but takes a bit of getting used to, give it 3-4 sessions.8-10 knots winging is possible, I mostly use it with a DW board and a 4m or 5m wing, im 85 kg and intermediate skill.I stlll havnt managed to glide on little swells with it but thats the goal soon, just my skill level I think. It does feeel the chop and water turbulence, but we get a lot of that. the skill set is different turning a DW board with a big foil and im still getting used to that. I normally ride spitfires and love their roll so bit of a change from my normal winging in waves setup when I get on the 1300 V2.

notEnoughTime I have the 1300 V1 and it was fantastic at getting going in light stuff. I'm 70kg and use a 4.5m wing as my largest. I'm a solid intermediate. Def not advanced.
The 1300V1 would easy get going in 10 knots. The BSC 1060 also had good low end potential, but not as good as the 1300. The 1300 is a bit of a pig to turn.
The 1300V2 is just as good at getting going in light stuff, but has a fair bit more glide and speed. I found it slightly easier to turn than the V1. I recently acquired the 1400V2 and it's a step up in low end potential. Gets going in around 8-9 knots (using a narrow DW board). But the ability to glide through light winds is just stupid. While up on foil, I was able to gently pump the wing and foil to glide through lulls of 6-7 knots over 100m distance with ease.

The V2 1300 seems to max out at 22kts winging for me gets used a fair bit and is a good investment for myself
Try and demo one if you can

I've used the 1300 v2 a couple of times as a session saver, flat water en below 10kts with a 5.7 and 100lx6ft midlenght, I'm around 93kg. Needs some effort to get flying in that low breeze, but once flying it can stay on foil forever. Decent speeds with 28km/h max and around 22 average. Nice to cruise around and get you home, allthough a bit boring. I will go for art v2 999 whenever gusts alow.

Some of you might compare these PNG V2s to the BSC1120 or HPS1050 for Light Wind wingfoiling ?
I use my BSC1120, which I started with for Light Wind sessions (110kg), but I'm looking for a front wing that performs even better in Light Wind, faster, and more maneuverable than this BSC1120.

Started with BSC 1060, weight 92kg, recently turned 60 (but still young at heart).
Great first foil and lifts very early and can go really slow but when its was windy I just crank upwind!
Wing on a gusty lake and do some foil drive (Gen 1) when there is swell.
I was lucky to demo a few foils.
PNG 1300 V2 incredible low end take off and smooth and in the lulls could pump and glide so well.
But there was a buyer so missed it and to be honest think they really need a stiffer mast.
Spitfire 1180 is great all rounder, needs a fraction more wind but not much and tuns better.
SF 1100 good foil but went ART 1099 V2 and awesome foil for winging. Still has good low end (or I'm getting better) goes fast and turns

515, yeah good point. The ally masts really struggle with those wider span foils. I've got a standard carbon mast and it's a big improvement. The 1180 is also really good, but as you say, doesnt have the low end of the 1300 or 1400 V2's. The threshold for the 1180 is a bit over 10 knots for me. I wouldn't rely on it being a session saver when things go light.

Hmm, I do not really understand why you are considering such a big front foil for wing foiling? On my 90 litre mid, I get going with my 5.5 wing and ART V2 999 in about 10 knots (flat water). Once up, a foil of that size will be fairly limited in speed, fun and even glide (due to resistance). A good friend tried the V2 1300 for wing, at even if it worked, we saw little or no advantage over smaller front wings (Spitfire, Fireball, ART V2) I am 82 kgs and a decent but not very advanced wingfoiler.

Personally, I'd like to find a replacement for my BSC1120, which I can fly from about 11.5 to 12 knots with my North Loft Pro 7m? (I weigh 110kg...), especially to find something faster. I'm not necessarily looking to fly below 10 knots because, honestly, I'm not a big fan of flying in very light winds. Below 10 knots, I do other things than wingfoiling.
So, a wing that's faster than the BSC1120 and, above all, one that takes off just as quickly/easily.
On the other hand, a point that also seems very important is the mast, I have an 82cm 19mm aluminum mast and I think that before investing in these "modern" wings (PNG V2, Spitfire, Art V2) the first thing will be to invest in a High modulus carbon mast, maybe with such a mast, I will see my HPS1050 differently in the Light Wind...

Omen Flux 84L is the board I ride 90% of the time. I'm 100kg. You need a gust to get going but once I stand, I'm up on foil. It's very difficult to slog. So once in a while I got to float back while I wait for a gust. One just needs to sit cowboy style on the board and be patient.

Martyj4, is the 1400V2 pretty challenging compared to first gen 1300 due to super high AR ?

I haven't ridden the 1120, but compared to the BSC 1060, the 1400 is close to the same speed. Def gets going earlier as well. And so easy to pump through lulls.
I've got a high mod mast (1020) and a power carbon (900). I'd say the power carbon is good enough if you want a significant increase in performance but don't want to smash the bank account.
I think the 1400 is very similar to the 1300 for challenge. It definitely feels smoother than the 1300V1.
I totally get that lots of people can't be bothered with light stuff. I very much enjoy it if I can get up on foil.

So I'm 95kg and have art999v2 which Iove for winging. I'm struggling to glide of smaller (lake) bumps - I think partly because I'm constantly outrunning them or struggle to go slow enough to stay with the bumps. I really want to experience longer rides flagging the wing. I know it's a positioning thing and depending on the waves, would this help my wave riding journey?
also, I think the lower stall speed might help.

Used to ride the sf1100 but that one definitely lacked glide.
