recently I tried the duotone carve 2.0 850 foil and was surprised by its huge pop. I am looking to buy a Ma800 but have thoughts on the carve2 950 or hs850 for free style. I dont see any pros use this but for good pops this lower Ar should help alot? Or are the mas so much superior? looking into balz muller he seems to use those old low ar foils so it makes me wonder:))
Also check out @xaci.corr on Insta. I think he's on the MAs as well. New Army Team addition. Took 4th in recent comp.
The HS may be too slow and not have as good of breach control. The MAs are awesome at building speed and loading up, as well as shedding air and regaining control very quickly. I recently was on the MA625 and flat breached dropping in on a decent sized swell - I dropped and the board bounced of the water extremely quick and back on foil like nothing happened. I wasn't prepared for it and it wasn't a big deal at all. Felt awesome. Airing on the MAs also allows you to do the same thing. Launch, land, bounce back on foil.
happysam said.. Yes i know i tried the mas but thought for more low wind pops the lower ar foils might be better but considering re buying ma1225 for this purpose ??
