They look pretty amazing. I might have to go raid Nuzzo's truck and take out a demo or two. I mean, I probably need a 4.5M to fit between my 4 and 5M wings, right?

Yeh cant argue with that.

The only feedback ive had is from my wordless 15 yr old grunting son who said how "sick" they were for upwind, speed and jumping float. But then again hes coming of the V2 armie wing which is /was a grunt machine well well behind the current pack of wing designs.

Nuzzo is the consummate salesman and always focuses on the positive aspects of any product he reviews but I find them helpful and informative. Having said that it does seem like Armstrong have outsourced their launch marketing to REAL.

We were all expecting Armie to come out with a high tech material wing and I was initially disappointed. Having owned OR Glides and briefly a DLAB unit I've experienced the benefits and downsides of ALLULA that are mentioned in the video.

I think this design looks awesome and if the comment about lasting 100 sessions and still having canopy tension is correct then at the price point it has to be a winner. Just maybe we don't all have to spend 2.5K AUD to get high performance wings anymore?
That will leave more money for new foils which just might be their strategy!

The new one would want to be a lot lighter than my v1. It's still brand new because I hated it so much due to the weight. I wasn't even comfortable selling it to friends so still have it. The v1 received great reviews and even here on the breeze.

Kb7- Wow, that's impressive. Just weighed my F-One Strike V2 5.5 which is a lite weight stellar wing. It comes in at 5.0 lbs /2.3 kg (including leash). So this 5.3 is 300 grams more, darn that's good

Ah thats was a loooong time ago man. Most of us didnt know sh1t from clay wing wise. But agreed entirely, proof will be the compilation of many riders - pros, team riders and average joes alike and eventually the truth on the wing will surface
and to support the V1 comparison - my son kept saying high light it was - and i kept saying thats because you are used to the V2 flying grunt monsters. Then again he still make 99 percent of us look like kooks even on that wing!

im personally glad on the material choice - ask wing repairers what they think of this new material when trying to fix the enivatable wing repairs.

Yeah if they ride as good as they look, and we get positive feedback from non endorsed sources, I may be keen to sell my 3-5M Aluula and Hookipa V1/v2 wings for an upgrade. That canopy shape and tension looks so good. I've been an Armstrong foil rider since day 2 and I didn't even sniff at their first two A wings. Just saying.

Absolutely agree, the hand wing is the least important component. It's what's under the water that counts and then the board. Neither of the latter two components care what powers 'em, kite, wing, paddle or apparently just jumping up and down

Had anyone seen the recommended wind range?

Anyone already rode them here ? I wondering about the wind range compared to the V2. Real said it seems less powerful

+1 . Started winging 3 years ago and was fixated by wings. Now all my money in foils. My 3 wings 5m and 6m last season's, 4m rarely used and 2 seasons old. Wings are tow in machines. New discounted last season's stock is where it's at!!

Antman said they didnt have the same bottom end but much better top end. These were all prototypes and most the team asked for more bottom end. So not sure. We have one - just waiting on wind to use the damn thing.

What is the bag like? Size wise? And folding the wing? Do you fold the windows? A photo of the bag would be great, thank you.

Also, I presume your son and the other riders were comparing V2 of the wing with the XPS?

Could be diminishing returns you get on larger wing sizes. They may have found slightly smaller wing can be worked easier for bottom end access but also hold more wind at top end - for this partic" design

or maybe the 4.6 might be the average guys main wing size - the 5.3 the heavier guys bread and butter - a 5.5 slightly too big.
Testing protos their would have been an optimising reason for smaller gap id say.

looks like a nice 3rd gen wing with 2nd gen materials, at least the handles are hard and the price is reasonable.

Real is basically(almost certainly) the main US distributor for armstrong so take those video reviews with a grain of salt.

2 gen materials. might not only be the cost effective way to make what is a very disposable
product but way more importantly your local wing repair guy can fix the damn thing. From talking a lot the main fixer here (ryan) i personally had zero intention of ever buying a wing with the 3 gen materials.
Im stoked they created a product most of us can afford ; no way i was outlaying the cost of those 3 gen material wings. Sippose if ya like going in straight lines and maybe at speed - but wave riding - swell DW - wings not that important.


not sure why it seems necessary to point out a retailers review as possibly bias - are we that stupid on here it needs to be said? And chuck it in the mix of all the other captured retail and team rider reviews. Etc etc. it seems we still arent beyond pointing out the bloody obvious here. which in itself has captured tones.

I'll report back! I've been demoing the Strike V3 for a little while now. Fantastic wing but I'm ready for rigid handles.
