how would you compare these two foils in the case of:

take off
glide
top speed
drag
easy handling for maneuvers

the North or kind of new, where the Armstrong are a longer on the market.
but they seem to be very equal, just from base specs, isn't it?

no one have an idea?

Day and night difference.

Armie 1125 is a first gen HA wing
High stall speed, very sensitive to angle of attack changes if board speed isn't high enough and will just stall if pumped too aggressively.
Terrific glide and speed.
Very little drag.
You can't let a beginner, intermediate on it as they'll have a hard time getting it on foil and riding out of gybes.

Haven't tried the North HA1150, only 850 and 1050.
I spent way more time on the 850 than the 1050.
The 850 has a lower stall speed than the 1125 and it can be pumped like a MA to get up on foil.As soon as I'm standing on my sinker board, I can start pumping the board to get on foil without worrying about stalling it.
Somewhat more drag on the North HAs, but drag also depends on mast, stab.

thanks a lot. I tried the HA1050 last Saturday and was very comfortable in the first session. I want the 1150 and 850. 1150 for light wind days here at my gusty lake. and 850 for the regular and better wind days. My local dealer also made me an excellent offer for the Armstrong 1125. That's why I needed some other opinions, on where to go.

As I'm intermediate, based on your comment, I think North is the way for me.
As mast, I would choose the carbon 85 mast, and for stabilizer the new s178. I think the drag should be already day and night on the North compared to my current Sabfoil.

You won't regret not going for the 1125, it's a tricky one and will cause frustration especially in lighter winds.

I rode a bunch of the SAB front wings for quite a bit (679, 699, 790, 799, 940, 945, 950, 1000, 1100, 1110)The only 2 setups that felt less draggy to me (but still draggy) were the 1000 and 1110, but they didn't turn even with a small stab like the 370.

Depending on your weight (if you're below the 85 kg mark I'd say), the 850/1150 could be a good combo to cover light to strong wings, no swell to big swell.
I just received my 178 so haven't winged it yet, just tried it dockstarting today 4-5x times and it felt pretty fast.
But since you're getting into HAs, you might be best served by the S208 or the S210 to get a bit more lift and stability.
Once that feels rock solid, then ask yourself if you want/need even looser/faster.

I can't give you a comparison on the 208 vs 210 as I only got 2-3 sessions winging on the 208, but it definitely felt faster and looser than the 210. I spent a lot of time on the 210 and it was a solid performer.

I agree with 85 cm mast unless you plan on proning it at lot or winging in shallow spots.

Fuse I'd go with 600 if you want looser, more reactive, or 700 if you want less pitch sensitivity.
