Good on ya for pushing the MA foils downwind. I think Guy is known for pushing the size down really small. When he was on AFS I think he rode the Silk 850 a bunch and rarely made it down to the 650. But that's just what I gleaned from social media and interviews. Seems like his switch to Armstrong unlocked a bit more low end friendliness which isn't super surprising. Let us know how it works out if you go for it.
Definitely works for me with the 890, compared with the HA I notice there are sections where I lose a bit of glide and occasionally I get snookered in a dead patch more than I did with the HA. But the pump is insane so you can usually put it together if you're willing to get a bit of leg burn. They are so amazing on the waves that I'm quite happy to give up an ace run for better wave performance. Kind of a perfect match with the parawing as relaunching a few times in a session is no big deal.As a side note, the MA is amazing in garbage conditions, its like a low-pass filter on all the choppy crap and it feels like you're riding just the ground swell and nothing else exists. Its not really the stuff you see in the instagram advertising, but they have turned some horrible days into absolute magic for me!
