I could be interested in the Ginxu 2 62L for the light wind. Someone tried it?

90 kgs and ride the 62L. Great board generally and quite efficient but not as efficient as a midlength or DW board in light air of course.

Thanks for the answer. The ginxu 1 was really heavy. This year it looks they make it lighter. Is it like that?

Construction last year was more like a windsurfing layup and the bigger step in the tail may have required more material/reinforcement, which made it a bit hefty. New one is under 13 pounds, I think. Weight is now a non-issue. Still quite durable for jumping too!

I have one on order in 62L. There are a few reviews on YouTube. Looks like a really good board. Currently on a seek 78L. Looking forward to try this board. Curious how starting will be and the freestyle performance.

Got one of the best tests in Germany, 5.3kg, very nice board, super balanced, wave, freestyle, doing it all.

Thank you all for the answers. It would be only for light wind using 880 + 4,5 (the new Vayu Aura X2 is great between). After I use the Armstrong 48L I love. For this light winds I use the ML Armstrong 65L that does the job, flies really quick but not fun for the jumps.

USA22! Do you think the Ginxu will be close to the ML to the early fly in the light wind? (I used the English subtitle in your video but the translation is not perfect).

Hmm.. I don't know that Armstrong board, but the Ginxu 2 is a good starter, especially with the step and small width. As far as it could be said for a board 15-20 liter under bodyweight.

Sonsaletta I was also considering the 62L and weighing it up against the 70L super K for more light wind orientation. Keith Taboul certainly makes beautiful water crafts.

Got a couple of sessions in now with the 62L. Really a board i need to get used to. Starting is way harder then my 78L seek. That board i could jump on my knees, grab the wing and go. With this board, thats too hard with 82kg. So i need to stinkbug start it. It gets going quickly, but i need definitely a bit more wind otherwise i sink untill my knees on it. What i don't like so far, when jumping the seek bounces back and i almost lose no speed, this board doesn't bounce back so easily. Maybe i need some more sessions to adjust. But this is my first impression.

The Seek and Ginxu 2 are night and day. Short and wide compared to long and narrow are totally different in riding style. If you get used to the Ginxu 2 you can carve harder, get it going faster on foil then most other boards in that size (especially as wide boards). And it is really balanced for it's size, volume is well distributed. You can stand under water knee-deep or deeper without issues in No Wind. You can jump the Ginxu 2 with deeper ankle as you have more room for taking a swing with the step bottom and a remarkable Tailkick. Bouncing back after jumps is due to the rounded bottom maybe less then with a flat/wide bottom board, but much more controllable.

It's been a couple of weeks now, and i'm getting more and more used to this board. And i actually like it. Starting sometimes takes a few tries when its really choppy. The best way for me is to stinkbug start it, grap the board with both hands, wing down on the nose and jump on the knees. Knee starting like i did on the seek is almost impossible, only when the water is really flat. Jumping also improved, the first day i was just underpowered with a 5M. When i was using my 4.2 and 3.5 in more wind, the board comes alive and also bounces back perfectly. tacking, jibing, 360's (jumps) those things feel easier with this smaller board.

Bought the 70l after the trying the 80l and thinking it would be great for shifty days (which are the norm in Japan, where I sail).
I got two sessions so far and while I'm very satisfied with the board, I'm afraid it doesn't match Go Foils V2 mast (if I don't bring the mast to the very back of the board, it's plain unrideable).

So I have it on the very tail, which now makes it bad to carve. So my opinion is: Excellent board but make sure it fits your foil setup
