Great lakes, fresh water, steep chop and swell with big lulls. Im 75 kg , on 88 5'5" fg currently ride 1850 and 1550v2, more into plug and play but dont mind shimming, but dont want to have to adjust from 1550 v2 if possible. Thankyou!

Thanks Eppo. I've been using the 1550v2 for bit and it's been working well, same 88 board and weight 75kg as Dbag. Just got the 925 and it was exciting but I struggled (harder to get up and crashed more), so just remove shim I'm guessing or are there other adjustments?

Thankyou eppo and Seattlekook, 85 cm mast 300 chopped, will get 232 with this next order of 1250 or 925. I only will use it with wing, usually gusty here 11 - 18 knt, wanted for those windier days, i have cf1200 and like it, just feel like it doesnt glide like the hs series but dont know how similar 1200 and hs 1250 are? Lake michigan usually gets 6-8' when its above 18knts, i feel like i get worked over by crosswell on the bigger wings 1850 and 1550v2, but love the glide. Experience level is intermediate can do most transitions ride toeside, tack etc, dont jump, love the waves and flat water,49, sail, kite and windsurf most of my life.

CF1200 is very different from HS1250. 1250 has much better top end and glide. The 925 is my current favourite foil for winging (1250 was my go-to previously). 1250 is much easier to hop on and go with out too much fuss but is more sensitive to wing tip breach than the 925. Turning on both wings is really good, but the more I ride the 925 the more I love the way it turns. 925 needs more time to tap into its potential but it's far from an expert only HA foil if you have enough wind to mask the higher stall speed it has compared to the 1250. Foot switches on the 925 are a little more unstable too. The easy speed, efficiency, turn and glide of the 925 is pretty amazing.

Ultimately you can't go wrong with either; they're both super fun to ride. I'm holding on to my 1250 a little longer despite loving the 925.

Yeh i was really surprised with the stability of the 925 (coming off using ONLY the 1250 ie my only wing).yesterday. Put on the chopped 232 (same setup as the prone in the morning.
I didn't find the stall speed a factor really - as the wing masks that - not as obvious as when pumping on the prone.


the only issue is starting up on the foil is noticeably harder as youd expect. But i have been sink starting the last two weeks on a 34l prone so getting on the big 90L truck - fck big boards!!

but the speed, glide etc is superb. Turns similar to 1250 (i reckon a bit sharper actually) but apparently not as tight as the 1050 - as youd expect
anyhow i am the same though. Keeping my 1250s for now as well - not sure i will ever get rid of my go to wing. Turbulent, choppy conditions may be an issue with these HA wings - especially surfing.

Indeed. I prefer 1250 over 925 in turbulent, choppy waters, but also for jumping. 925 has fantastic glide and it's tread for riding waves, but in choppy water it's pretty nerveaus up and down.
