Ocean Rodeo obviously first, and I see Duotone well into its proto type stage. So my question is who else is going to have Aluula wing offering soon?

I'm really digging the CWC wings but I'm wishing and a hoping... they go in on this uber stiff, durable, lighter weight construction soon.

Strike V2 is coming in the next 2 months.. so let's see

My wings getting bagged out on the panels and I can't see how and extremely stiff tube or strut gonna change that....

Ive heard of or seen prototypes with what appears to be Aluula from Ensis, RRD, and Ozone.

This right here. Why spend huge amounts just to have the canopy wear out in the same amount of speed.

i thought the same until i saw Tuckers 3 reviews of the OR Glide....he seemed to buzzin about it

My desire is mostly having the best light wind wing possible. I went 3 months this summer with not enough wind to fly at all. Actually almost 4 months :(

Lighter weight, and stiffer frame for more efficient pumping could be the secret sauce needed to get there. Maybe even the smaller diameter LE could help with upwind ability in light wind.
CWC 8m in Aluula seems like a perfect marriage for someone my size, living in marginal wind area. I'd also expect light wind sailing be less prone to bagging out, so maybe not as much of a concern.

Bagging out may be more of a concern in high wind areas, or more aggressive (better) wingers who get more flight time than others.

Most of the bagging out that we see is on the larger wings and is from pumping to get onto the foil

I've seen some exciting new fabrics that may address your concern here. Second hand reports and photos from a tester who was frothing to get back on the prototype, but it was gone as quick as it showed up.

I think by this time next year there will be some insane options on the market. Wish I could say/show more.

.. And let's not forget it's not just the material, but the overall design, including handles that matters as well for the intended winging style. Agreed canopy wear is the issue for longevity.

I wonder if we'll see rigid/semi rigid wings like Kitewing in future?

I predict we will.

They have to be careful with cost. The hardcore will pay just about anything for slight overall improvements but the general public won't. I'm old enough to remember the huge popularity of windsurfing in the early 1980's, which the industry literally killed by moving the equipment away from relatively inexpensive and simple to expensive and technical -- it's a fine balance. Slingshot is smart enough to offer what is basically a "cottage" wing in its lineup -- cheap and simple and therefore less intimidating. What equipment we actually need to wing foil and what we want are often two different things! Sometimes the expensive thing we want turns out to be a huge disappointment and we're off chasing something else.

So are the Aluula wings going to have smaller diameter leading edge tubes than their non-Aluula equivalents, seeing as they will take higher pressures? For example is the Duotone Unit Aluula 5.0 going to be the same or different diameter front tube than the non-Aluula 5.0m Unit?

I will wait patiently, but its good to see i'm not the only one with these concerns. :)

Realistically the longevity card is overplayed. These things are so prone to damage its a miracle if you last a season of steady use without real damage. If you want something that lasts...don't get into winging

Maybe i,m really lucky but besides I had a tiny puncture in a bladder I never had any damage this year within 98 sessions so far on flat water and waves. And longevity, the first monofilm sails were crap as well till they evolved, starting using better material etc etc.
