Got one of these for Christmas and it works nicely. BUT only on third time recharging and it won't. The display flashes on 1 bar while charging but doesn't get any further. It also throws an "EE3" error irregularly. any tricks to this or do I have a dud?

Mine has worked flawlessly for over a year, so I think you do indeed have a dud, and it should be warranty-able

I'm a 2hr drive from the shop, so was looking for a fix. I found this kaspars.net/blog/airbank-d13-pro-teardown and decided a reset might work, then contacted the Airbank Aus website. I got a quick and very helpful response from Pete who confirmed how to reset my unit:
Soft reset: press and hold the plus and minus buttons until RES appears on the screen.
that didn't work, EE4 error returned.
So next step was hard reset: just run it flat.
That worked and my unit is now fully charged

Mine worked great for 1.5 years then would not charge. It was past the warranty period and they sent me a new one. I just emailed the contact page of the web site and told them what was up and they started the process easily.

A different issue is the pump cycling with wings that have restrictive valves such as my North Nova's.
For those that don't know: long press the left side button to cycle through FAN, COMPRESSOR and AUTO modes

I think I may have a busted pump or it's because of my binorth novas and Armstrongs. I have to baby the stupid thing and keep resetting, going through modes, or it will short cycle or show 0 psi. I have to play a game of resetting it and attaching the hose while it is pumping. I think maybe it has filled a wing once in auto mode without messing with it.

I am the distributor of AIRBANK Pumps in Australia. The Puffer Pro Pumps are great pumps, but being electronic, they can occasionally have issues (i.e., a very small percentage of the many pumps that are out there). The important thing is always how a company responds whenever there are issues.

A few of us bought Puffer Pros after reading various forum topics. I was a diehard manual pump person because I couldn't see the point of using an electric pump. All the earlier products had to be finished by hand, which is nuts.

The "killer app" for me was being able to start the Puffer Pro and have it pump the wing or kite to the exact pressure, while I was doing something else. Reading hand pump pressure gauges was always a bit of black magic. Now it's just pump, change, ping, let's go.

The black box the Puffer Pro comes in is a perfectly nice storage box, but hopeless for day to day use. You have to disconnect the hose and stow everything back in the box.

I dug out an old laptop bag. The Puffer Pro sits in the laptop compartment with the hose and bits fully attached and coiled next to it. There's room in the laptop pockets for tools, screws, bits and pieces and my favourite foil tail. A whole bunch of storage issues solved with one bag. I just open the zip, pull out the hose, connect it and press the buttons. The bag keeps the sun off the pump and dirt and grass away.

I think the cycling between Fan and Compressor mode is a feature. It Fan pumps up the LE, cycles a few times as the air flows into the strut, then finishes off on Compressor mode.

There's on thing it doesn't do that I would like. I use bladder pressure when diagnosing leaks between struts and leading edge. It's easy enough to do with a hand pump. It would be nice if the Puffer Pro could automatically and accurately measure the pressure in the bladders. Perhaps some rate of change of pressure could tell the difference between the hose and the greater volume of struts and leading edge.

A nice side effect is I actually get out more often thanks to the puffer pro. Feeling a bit slack and the wind in't great, no chance I'm going to manually pump up that 7m wing... But now I'm out of excuses.

I have one and all good so far.
The other day I was advised that a component in these pumps will fail and will require rebonding.
Has anyone had this experience and done the fix?
