Can someone give me real world low end comparison between the Silk 1050 vs Enduro 1100 or 1300? Im new to the parawing and have been using my 1050, but getting up on the low end of the range can be a struggle. Definitely need to continue refining my technique, but wondering whether I can expand my range with the foil too. Getting up in 15-16 knots on a 4.3m (80kg), so Im not sure there is much more to squeeze here, but figured I'd ask.

I cannot give you a comparison, but I can say that I get my enduro 1100 going well below 10 kts with a 7m wing at 80kg

Take a look at Foil the Greats videos on YouTube. I know he regularly uses the Silk 1050 and Enduro 1300 with smaller parawings (BRM Ka'a). He also uses incoming swell to reduce the power required from the pw.

I'm on the front end of my learning curve - less than 20 sessions. I use the Enduro 1300. I'm 85kgs and in 15mph I can easily get up on foil with the 1300 and the Ka'a 4.8. Early on I was relying mostly on the pw solely to pull me up onto foil. Now having better balance on a 100 liter dw board and a 80 liter ML, I am transitioning to pumping the board/foil more.

I am going to borrow a friend's Silk 1050 - now knowing how to manage the pw, I think I can pump up on the 1050 now.

I'm testing the 1100 today. I bottom out the 3m Pocket Rocket and Silk 1050 with a -10l board at 18 knots. In general I have felt as though the 700 and 900 Enduros take off like what I would expect of a 775 and 975 Silk. So, enduro gets about +75 vs Silk. The 1100 might be the right call if you are in super weak faced swell which is not the ticket for the 1050. In the Gorge, it's harder to justify the Enduros.

1100 enduro is great for light winds and tiny swell. Certainly helps lift off with a pwing. Takes a while to get used to the wingspan. Feels a bit weird to start with, smaller tail gives a less locked in feel. I use a 130 crisp flex tail.

Alright so I tried the 1100 enduro with short fuse and UG41 tail today on the 75 skinny mast. Buttery smooth takeoff but it was not for me. Probably not a good match for Gorge conditions TBH. It felt like it wanted giant fat slow rollers, not shin high wind chop.

So yes, a little better takeoff than Silk 1050. You'd want to think if it's really going to buy you much for your local swell conditions though.

Took me 10 sessions to work out the 1100. Then it clicked, love it in light wind and/or tiny bumps. It actually turns so well if you dial it in. The bonus is I get back on the 700 and I feel like Mr B

The take off on 1050/152 vs 1300/43 is pretty similar. The 1300 has more carry and glide but the span makes it much more tricky to ride. It still surfs well but needs serious input to make it happen. Like Hilly said it takes some time to dial this type of riding in. I choose the foil for the wave/swell conditions. The 1050/152 still works well until a little less than knee high than 1300/43 is needed for me. I picked up a 1100 but haven't tried yet. The real trick to getting up on foil in light conditions is using wave/swell assist like a DW rider will use to paddle up. As long as you can keep the Parawing in the air you will be able to take off on the right bump. Good skill to practice and feels great when done properly.

I have theSilk 850+1050Enduro: 900-1100-1300-1600Evo1650+Pure1100. weight 97on a good day, often a bit more.Parawing: no clue. I have the 4.2 Flow bit hardly use it because when its good I wanna wing.For me with my DW board and Midlength (KT SuperK92) the Silk1050 needs a bit more wind as the Enduro1100 and fair bit more then the 1300, but the differences arent shocking. With the Enduro,s the stallspeed is lower and they offer more glide.Mast positioning: 2cm (No clue what that is in inches/foot etc) further back as with the Silk.
Regarding to bumps/waves: Supfoiling I can ride the 1300 in proper Ocean waves over 2m, From 1.5m and up the Pure1100 and Enduro 1100 are easier to control/tighter to turn. I havent yet paddled the conditions where I prevered the Silk due the lesser glide/lack of skills to stay close nough to the pocket to bennefit of it supfoiling.
Other way around: The 1100 and 1050 have a similar take off speed while the Enduro1100 has more glide. I,m too heavy/not skilled enough to get that one going in waves below shoulder high.Do I need the 1100 Enduro? No! With the Silk1050 and the Enduro1300 99% of my usage is covered and there is only a very little gap inbetween......but whats fun in having less foils and less variety? Do I need the 1300?: I think for supfoil its essential to me, for wingfoiling it is sometimes fun in very low wind, but only ads a little to the Silk1050 in getting going (althougfh it glides longer).

Not giant rollers little tiny reforms are perfect. Rode inside reforms with Tow Boogie assist yesterday - 1100 enduro, chopped HA38, standard fuse. Turned very well when going slow, surprisingly tight arcs. Not sure if it is the thin tips or tubercles but it drops into turns very well for its wingspan at low speed and energy. It was a contrast to the 700 earlier in the day out the back going mach 10

i am demoing the enduro 1100 and silk 1050 for dw/surf with FD. low end seems comparable. but coming from an f-one eagle 1190 i was struggling to put down enough rear foot pressure in the intermediate sections connecting waves. this often resulted in stalls. shimming the rear tail for more lift resolved this. wondering if others have needed to adapt foot pressure or started shimming when moving to afs from other brands?

interesting you say that. I love the Silks and find they balance really naturally, but I've found a similar stall dynamic on the Enduro 700, and I keep moving the mast around trying to work it out. Im going to try shimming the tail a little and see how that helps.

For what its worth, before shimming the Enduro tail I tried shimming the mast plate - fat part forward 1%. Thought it might shift weight to my rear foot. Wasn't convinced with the result and took it off. Have not had enough time on the Silk to come to decide whether to fine tune.

Silk works better with a mast shim. Enduro does not work well with a mast shim.

Both work well with a negative tail shim (raises the back of the tail), helps speed and control at speed.

I demoed the 700 Enduro back to back with the 650 and 850 Silks. 700 Enduro felt like it had similar lift as the 850 Silk.

On the low end part...I have the Enduro1600 GLT and imo that foil is too big for wingfoil, but the magic mix between low end in DW supfoil paddle ups, the glide and still being reasonable maneuvrable and having enough speed is Awesome.

I've found that a 1degree shim helps the performance of my 1100/1300 Enduro personally.
I think this probably has to do with the longer boards im using. When I get on my omen Flux 74L, no shim is "required" as I dont need to move the balance point of the board to achieve optimal performance, for me.
I also have been using the Omen Honey badger stab, with a saddle I fabricated on my Enduros and it frees up the larger 1100/1300 wings as well as increasing usable speed.
