The Enduro 11 takes off before the Silk1050 not much but there ist more lowend on the E 1100. In my opinion is the Silk 1050 closer to the Enduro 900 in takeoff and feel. The good thing is that you cant go wrong ,riding Endruro Vs Silk ,it is always fun

There ist no draggy feel on the E 1100 , cruising Speed vs. Silk almost the same but you can pusch the Silk winging over 40 km/h easy. With the Enduro 1100 you Hit a little bit a wall over 35 km /h. For me it s fast enough and i enjoy the better Glide und pump in our small comditions.

Talking apples and oranges here I realise but I find the E700 faster than the S650 when towing and dinging. Where the S650 shines is in steeper waves where it does not go super fast allowing you to carve turns. The E700 generates heaps of speed and is harder to control in larger steeper waves. Where it shines is in the smaller softer swells and it glides forever.
I found the same when demoing the S850 and the E900. The Enduro felt a better wingding foil with its speed and glide. It turns well for a 11 AR wing.
I would have thought the E1100 would be faster than the S1050 but I have not tried either yet.

Ideally I would demo one, but there are no demo E1100 in my aerea and don,t wanna buy just to try (like with the E900).

I'm the same weight as you and have the E1100/E1300, what tail do you prefer between Silk152/142? Is the 142 too small? I've heard some say with the 152 you can feel the drag but is that true at our weight?I'd be interested to hear if you keep or sell the E900 as you say the Silk 1050 is about the same foil.

I only tried it with the 152 wich I like. Maybe the lighrer riders feel more drag..I don,t, but I have an HA40+HA 38 on the way. I would like to try it any soon with my KD Marlin wich is more turny to see what that does to the foil...but the last weeks its only windy when I,m working and no wind (or freezing) when I,m off.
So far to plan to keep both as I really love the Silk1050 but is a pain in the but to travel with and the Enduro900 is way easier to pack for a flight

I ride my E 1100 with silk 142 and Ha 40 both are good on the Enduro ,Winging 98 KG

I've been lucky enough to sup and wing in chest to overhead waves thanks to the easterly swell the last couple of days with my new AFS setup.

Riding the E1300, HA40 + 80cm UHM and it was amazing, am 98-100+kg atm, only on a couple of waves did I feel a little over foiled, but not crazy and still controllable. The lift is so controlled, slow and not aggressive at all, and whitewater is no longer something I brace for. The 1300 can carry some serious speed and turns very well for a a large span foil. The entire ride and performance felt like my old kite foiling setup of the moses 91cm race mast, w800 and 399, but for winging and sup foiling, so fast and effortless through the water. I've been through the brands, moses, armstrong, gofoil, unifoil, code, axis and finally AFS. AFS is great quality, mast is super stiff, efficient and glides effortlessly through the water.

I most recently have come across from Axis, and I'm trying to think of a wing that is similar to the E1300 and it's probably the Art Pro 1201, almost felt like the lift of the spitfire 1180 with the speed of the 1201, but the Enduro doesn't throw you off at all, it's fast, agile and well behaved, smooth, very manoeuvrable and pumps really well, and is better in every way imo and doesn't feel like a big foil.

I took a risk and bought unseen and as it turns out it wasn't a risk at all, I highly recommend AFS and demo if you can.

Can't wait to try on the E1100 with the 142, but am thinking I should've gone for the E900 instead....

I had contact with AFS and they told me buying an Enduro1100 while I already have an E1300, Pure1100, Silk1050 and Enduro900 is overkill...still tempted to get one

All this talk of the 900 and 1100 being similar to the Silk 1050 has me wondering if I'm destined to land on the 1300 as my lightwind option...

I really like my 1300 for mellow longboard style waveriding with wing and supfoil. You won,t turn as hard as with the Silk1050 but its fun in conditions where the Silk haven,t enough glide. I,m not sure how that works in the Gorge because from what I hear in podcasts you guys can run smaller foils, but in low energy wave and light wind its awesome.

I'd love a lightwind weapon that is still fun to ride. Wondering if it will pair well with a short fuse and the ha38. I used to have the cloud ix fs1350 but that was pretty darn stiff in the turns. Hoping this 1300 tells a different story!

I run mine with a short fuse and 43. the 40+38 are on there way.

Try a shim on the tail for a looser feel. I just use a SS washer under the rear.

Hard to believe how good these foils are. Was out yesterday in absolute crap onshore mush with e900 and ha38. 3.5m wing so it was windy. So easy to pump and glide downwind then hack upwind to do it again. They turn so well on little bumps.

100% agree, amazing foils, the mast alone is phenomenal! The only test remains is longevity.

Hopefully AFS will make the silk foil in the modular construction as the Enduro. I'd preorder a 1050 right now.

I'm honestly hoping for more monoblock wings lol. A buddy just flew and let me know his Silk 850 fit in the overhead compartment on the plane which really surprised me. I'd love an Ultra 550 and 950. Hoping to add a skinny 85 mast to my quiver (skinny 80 instead if they release it!!!!) this year too as the skinny 75 has been stunning for me.

I,m suprised that they let you in the Cabin with suh an alternative axe.

I love all the AFS foils but for a big bloke like me they miss an lightwind/low energy bumps/pumpfoil DW foil. So if I ca add to the wishlist something like the Code1540/ Sab1150/ Armstrong APF series with an 120-130 span, maybe a bit lower AR but really lifty and excelling at lower speed. It will be a compromise at higger speed, but that doesnt matter on low energy bumps and pumpfoil.

And when differiating masts...please an 75UHM mast with maybe the thickness of the 80 or maybe even thicker to deal with such wide span wing.

Yeah, I've heard a few others ask for bigger silks and enduros but I wonder if some brands shy away from those because maybe the market is smaller? I've heard they made the new 75cm skinny a bit stiffer than the last one but don't know if they would ever make it thicker. My understanding is that when you make the short chorded masts thicker it messes with the thickness to chord ratio and you start getting ventilation issues. I've experienced that on the non AFS thicker short chorded masts myself but the skinny 75 from AFS has never had an issue for me.

I think it comes down to priorities. I can't imagine that the Ultra 750 has a bigger potential market share as Pumpfoil and larger customers like you have in Northern Europe.

As for the mast, I agree with you, but I would suggest not going the skinny route with such a mast, but more like the normal UHM line but a lot stiffer to handle bigger foils. That would be "just" a matter of playing with the layup in the already existing molds.

Oh I understand now. A standard 75cm UHM. Yeah, you're right, they have a stronger focus on the 80cm and longer for the full chords. Only 2 masts available under 80cm.

interesting with the 1300 and HA 38 tail, I wasn't getting enough stabilization,.. felt like I wanted to nose dive over a certain speed.... only tried once though so far so will have to play around with positioning, etc... Tried the 1300/42HA dockstarting and it seems doable, but not quite unlocked on my first try... used to a much bigger foil (SAB Leviathan 1350/S370) and my start is very low speed so have to adjust technique

so far have a few days on the 700/38 as well... about ~1kt faster than the 850 Silk and I find the low end starting for winging to be worse w/ the 700. Easier, low-input glide w/ the E700... S850 has nice active glide if you ride high and push in the turns... so far am still favoring the S850 for overall range and performance, but will have to do further testing.

Using E700 with std fuse and E1300 with short fuse

Still only have 4 or so sessions on the 700, but I find it works best for faster moving powered swell, where you need the glide. The 850 has a harder time pacing these conditions and falls off the back. 850 is better for steeper waves where you can get the power from the waves and don't need the glide. Agree that the 700 has higher takeoff speed than the 850 and 700 definitely wants power/speed more - find it stalls/drops out pretty quickly when it is underpowered where the 850 has a more gradual and predictable stall. Different uses for me.

Still playing with tails. Prefer the 132 on the 850. I have a chopped HA40 that I'm liking on the 700 though.
