3D print board shim material?

Will it be stiff and durable enough with ABS plastic or what is your experience?

I've done a bunch out of PLA and they are fine but a little brittle and may warp if it gets hot. Abs should be fine

I did plenty of PLA ones ( initially because it was easier to print), current one being used for a year, 3 times a week in UAE (summer temp <> 40C / 104F) and no problem at all.
just make sure you print with lot of walls and top/bottom surfaces (end up with almost 100% infill)
