well.. team i thought i would resurrect this thread.again!
congratulations are in order for the guys who travelled to Green island for the speed comp and, along with James from the Pinnas, took home a fair chunk of the chocolates.great effort!
Pedro,Tim and the (for ever wind cursed) slow boat of the srm made the short journey across the sandy bit of oz to laze on a tropical island for a week or so while at the same time west oz received some much needed fast moving air!
also congrats are in order for Srm's AUS 1111 aka Ado for making the latest edition of the pommie mag Boards (pg 16) nice gybe pic mate! was that a Mr Wong snap?

looks like we have our work cut out for us for the rest of the year in terms of the gtc points standing with the Seasonal cup experts the pit crew getting a solid start to july with some much needed wind and the awesome sth oz demons fully realising the potential of not 1 but 2 awesome sailing spots and setting new bench marks in a few cats such as nmile/hour etc!
June was a month for great performances by a lot of sailors across oz but for me the stand out was by far South sider's- Jesper's awesome mile through the guts of the melville washing machine! i could only imagine what he could do in flat (anything below a meter) conditions.
heres hoping the wind will come back soon .

Some have moved the benchmark remarkably in the last few months.
Nothing like a challenge to crank a few more knots out of a session
Whats happened to the distance guru Claude? haven't seen him about lately. Not that I have spent too much time on the water myself, but haven't spotted a post from him for some time?

As a matter of fact, there'll be a small SRM contingent having a dabble in those hallowed waters over the next few weeks.

I don't think it will be much help to SRM Winter Cup hopes though, as going quick is near-on impossible there, and the other team member who is going has proved recalcitrant when it comes to loading his sessions anyway.

You got it. I think he has a policy of never posting anything sub-40 knots - which will have to be reviewed to 45 knots
