Federal government has given approval for controversial Point Grey marina channel dredging.

Lets hope they don't mess up Liptons with the dredging spoils...
and that they don't choose peak windsurfing season to do the dredging!

I hope they are installing a floating jetty on the north side full length of the channel just for speed sailors maybe 300mm high otherwise its not a good thing more boats more wash and more buildings to kill the wind

There's a hell of a lot of infrastructure to go in there before they can develop, ie sewage and water as there's bugger all in that part of the world.

Read somewhere that one of the conditions is NO dredging in summer (b/w Oct and March I think)

Hope so, wouldn't be the first council that said they'd dredge out of season, and ended up doing it right through peak windsurfing season
