Wind forecasting

I find the wind forecasting here on seabreeze leaves a lot to be desired. When its blowing a hurricane here in Rockingham it tells me theres hardly any wind in Mandurah, which is only 20Ks down the coast.....not posssible ! check out todays chart for safety bay and Mandurah . Surely that cant be right.

Got nothing to do with seabreeze, the Mandurah Wind and Weather station is located in a notoriously bad position in the lee of the mandurah Y Club, it is very inaccurate for mandurah weather and wind readings and they are actually going to move the station away from there.

The Safety bay meter also over reads. Better to look at the Garden island meter for a more accurate reading.

not sure if its a placement problem, or a computer problem.

As far as I can tell the only graphs that give an accurate indication of the conditions are Fish Rocks, Melville Water and Garden Island.
