I'll be in safety bay for the last week in November - 2 dec.hope it blows like last year ,it was a ripper .
i've got a gps watch this year ,looking to get a PB .i only got to beat 31 knots .
Just going off last years great sailing ,is it best just behind the weed bank ,
or have you guys been doing just as good in the pond .i would say the weed bank due to cleaner wind ,
and are there any other spots close by worth checking out ...I have a week there and really looking forward to it .
tardy.

Start behind the point and bear off straight down over the outer part of the weed bank (make sure you've got a shortish weed fin in). It's not that long a run you get though. Watch out for tea baggers coming out over the bank. The pond itself is fairly gusty/blocked out by the vegetation on the point now.

liptons in Mandurah is a top speed spot as well. Best to get info from a Mandurah local about that one.

Down penguin island sand bar can be good too. Between the bar and the outer weed banks can sooth off quite nicely.

Tardy, Check out GPS Team Challenge and see where the WA team are sailing and how fast.

Ive just got to get up there this summer.

Now that you have a GPS you have to join KA72 and a GPSTC team. Happy speed sailing.
