anyone got any suggestions for this years season opening party?

The Greenroom at Ocean One is now a restaurant so we can't do it there again unfortunately. My idea was to go to the new Clancy's Fish Pub in City Beach (the old Oceanus), but would be open to ideas.

Walked past Clancy's last weekend and was thinking it was a venue with good atmosphere and location. I'd love to go there.

Salt again..... top location.
but they need to do the cheap drinks for longer as they have a big crowd of us spending quite a lot .... and last time when they went back to full price drinks at 9 or 10pm it was 'kn horrendous!

still running with the 1st weekend in Nov? (I think it was?)

Can you have it somewhere central with good public transport links (near CBD or Fremantle) - makes it easier for those that want to have a drink / not have to drive and live south of the river / in suburbia.

Salt at Port Beach is only a 10 minute stagger to the Nth Fremantle train station so fits the bill.....and its on the beach

$9 pints... thats cheap these days (compared to Perth CBD prices).

I have no dramas with salt, just the scarbs / city beach locations are too far for me. Freo is no dramas. Though every time the season open/close parties have run I have always had something on/have been away for work... hopefully not this year but.

East Fremantle Yacht Club has a spacious bar/function centre overlooking the river. Pretty nice place to have a drink.. Or Nedlands YC?..

Smartypants but you're right

No I just meant that the place was absolutely packed out and lots of ppl were buying, they could have done the discounted drinks for a bit longer.

and whoever mentioned PINTS it was not $9 for pints. They stung me about $17 for a an aussie longneck (Rogers I think) and a 1/2 strength bourbon and coke in a glass the size my 6 year old uses.

The dress code will be slightly lowered for the night, stay tuned for more info but it's safe to say that you won't be able to wear thongs sneakers or Ugg boots, hopefully that doesn't rule out too many of youze

How the hell do you fit a pair of thongs down your jeans?

{Edit}
Oh hang on, it's only one thong

{Edit/edit}
Why would you put a thong down your pants, surely a sock would be better
