Are we talking DTL here?

I've enjoyed myself the most at Corro's, though not necessarily for DTL riding, though occassionally it has provided such riding late in the day, either north or south.

Had some great sessions at Avalon, great sessions at Gearies, scared myself silly at Marg's. Never sailed the Nasty G, but I'm sure all who have would rate it the best?

Nowadays I prefer to sail at inferior waves with no-one on them, about 3 breaks that are mine and elmo's!!!! And no not telling anyone I haven't already told , all inaccessible w/o 4wd anyway. The major thing that turns me off wavesailing these days on the well-known breaks, is the crowds, the aggression on the water, and snaking etc., and if you think I'm gonna risk bringing these things to my fave secret spots, you're dreamin so don't ask and you won't be offended

Agree totally with your last paragraph.

I always said Esperance was the best... good rides and sand bottom.... not Gnaraloo quality rides, but no reef is a plus. And quiet... for at least a couple of months of summer there would be 3 or 4 of us and great glassy waves. But no jumping really, and less wind than everywhere else.
I'm really enjoying Greenhead as I get out more, and get more jumps as well as rides. Sorta like Corro's in that respect.

Trouble is the crowds are annoying, the Euros have discovered it and as I said there was knob here last weekend that really spoiled it. I haven't sailed Corro's for about 8 yrs and I hope it it not any more popular than it was then. OTOH it is nice to have somebody else out, sailing alone 1km offshore at Greenhead is not conducive to ripping as you always worry about get nailed bad (especially as I'm not as fit as I should be and couldn't swim it).

In answer to my own question: the wave is always glassier on the other side of the fence!! At Esp I complained about lack of wind, now I get plenty and complain the waves are choppy
Seriously: favourite would be one I know down south and I'll plead the Hardie on that one too (non disclosure agreement)

For balls out wave sailing gnarloo would be hard to beat, margs also, although not casual fool around sort of waves. spot x for the straight out bash it off the lip fun factor. Barry's left for a punt.
