AAAAAAgh how windy was that today. That was freakin awesome. Just wish there had had have been some better swell or lower tides for the small swell. Suppose if I want more of that I've gotta drive up to Gero.

Yeh it was nuking at Woodies, probably the strongest I've sailed it!

Fun, scary and physically demanding all at the same time

Yes - right hand forward is starboard which does have right of way. Bit off topic though aren't we?

...to get back on topic... awesome wind. One of the best this season.

Had a few nice ones coming through with only 3 of us out (where is everybody these days?....).

5.3m was a joke to hang on to (plenty of power in the bottom turns though!). Was actually tricky to line up a jump with such big boardspeed. Nice problem to have really.

Should have packed the 4.5!

Hey Clive, if you read this, I'll see you there this arvo (small gear packed this time!)

unless you are going through the break. think the rule is then the person on the wave or coming in through the waves gives way to the other heading out through the waves.

potentially gives room for the other person to go downwind to gather speed, rather than dog upwind around someone into the impact zone (assumes a south to north breaking waves like in WA)

also the wind was awesome yesterday.

Hey fellas

Gota question on dirty ol out haul if you dont mind. When its not windy enough i release abita outhaul on ma sail as ma biggest is a 5.3. Sum times its got to the point where the sail is getting pressed up againts the boom. Its maybe about half a meter of sail is against the boom. Is this counteracting this release of outhaul??? Ive tried bringing it in a bit so it wont touch the boom but on these days it hasnt been windy enough to tell the difference

Thats fine alot of the newer sails rig quiet full.
My biggest wave sail is also a 5.3
When the wind is really light i will release my outhaul so the sail is touching at least half the boom.
It dosent feel as sweet as when rigged with more outhaul but it keeps you sailing

Dont for get to release the downhaul as well. Its amazing hou much power you can gain or loose with just 15mm of adjustment

hope this helps
