I was out windsurfing at Melville Water on Saturday PM. I have had a "fin strike" at the sand bar that resulted in a broken mast pin on my mast base that rendered my rig useless. Whilst I was contemplating getting back to shore a fellow wind surfer noticed my predicament and stopped to offer assistance. He went and fetched a spare mast base, returned and even assisted to get my rig sorted again. I just want to call out to him for assisting. Once my rig was going he left and I have not seen him again. I have returned his parts whilst he was surfing. It is guys like this that makes windsurfing such a wonderful sport. I think his name is Kim. I owe you a couple of beers and thanks for the help.

Sounds like quite a few hit the sand bank yesterday. Was he a Korean guy by chance?
